  • Over the last week, we had the honour of hosting the Royal Netherlands Navy Submarine Service submarine HNLMS Zeeleeuw (Sea Lion) and its crew at our Inchgreen Dock, just outside Glasgow City Centre. The port served as a key stop for replenishment and shore leave, giving the crew a chance to rest and explore everything Glasgow has to offer. We hope they had a fantastic stay and wish them safe travels on their next mission! ⚓🌊

  • We are delighted to be recognised for our sustainability efforts with a shortlisting for ‘Carbon Reduction Champion’ at the 2025 Construction News Awards. 🌟 With the construction industry accounting for almost 1/3 of global co2 emissions, it is crucial that we play our part in reducing this whilst continuing to enable the efficient movement of goods. That’s why we have set an industry-leading goal of becoming a net zero port operator by 2040, instilling sustainability into the heart of our operations and investing heavily into emission reducing technology. ♻️ This year, we look forward to launching our Construction Partner programme designed to actively support and futureproof the sustainability of construction projects across the UK. 💡 To find out more, visit 📰 : https://bit.ly/42m85V7

  • We're delighted to begin our three year sponsorship of Greenock Hockey Club.🏑 It was a pleasure to welcome the team to The Port of Greenock, giving them a tour of our operations, including a trip up the new 'Craner Swift' STS crane - which received its creative name through a competition with local schools. As a key employer in the area, we're committed to supporting local community initiatives that bring people together from across Inverclyde. The dedication and teamwork demonstrated by Greenock Hockey Club mirrors the values we champion at Peel Ports Group, and we're excited to watch their progress over the coming seasons. ✅ #EnablingTheFuture

  • A partnership supporting major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK⚡ Recently, PEEL PORTS LOGISTICS LIMITED and Allelys furthered their two-decade partnership by collaborating to transport a 154.3 tonne turbine and a 132 tonne generator to the Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant in Cheshire. The operation demanded a seamless transition from port to final site including considerations for variable vessel arrival times, storage availability, specialist machinery and more. The Peel Ports Logistics team at Ellesmere Port worked closely with Allelys to adjust vessel schedules in real-time, avoiding bottlenecks and keeping port operations running smoothly. 💡 The critical components were delivered efficiently, without costly delays, ensuring the Lostock power plant could progress toward its goal of processing up to 600,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, generating electricity for thousands of homes while reducing landfill dependency.  ♻️ To learn more on this project, click here 📰 : https://bit.ly/3FMhNYY
