At BAM, we imagine, create and enrich buildings and infrastructure across the UK & Ireland. Our vision is to build a sustainable tomorrow. We think beyond the build and focus on the bigger impact. It’s how we make the iconic buildings and infrastructure that shape our society. And that’s why we’re on a mission to make possible.
Connected communities, new habitats and brighter futures. These are just some of the things we’re making possible, wherever we go. At the top of our list is always making a positive impact possible - to create a more sustainable tomorrow, for everyone.
BAM. Making Possible.

Going Tay Be Gorgeous
In the run up to the opening of Perth’s Destiny Bridge on Monday, our COO John Wilkinson visited the Cross Tay Link Road site to see the final works come together and how BAM has been thinking beyond the build to deliver knock-on benefits to the local community, economy, and environment.

Even the toughest can struggle with mental health – It’s time we talked about It
New research from St John Ambulance reveals that 82% of construction workers have faced mental health challenges during their careers. It’s time to break the stigma and open up about these struggles.
To help raise awareness and support mental well-being, BAM is partnering with St John Ambulance on its ‘Hi Vis Stress Vest’ campaign.
Used on some of BAM sites to promote mental health first aid, these vests carry powerful messages like - “My debt keeps me awake at night” and “I’m always in pain but hide it” - to encourage workers to share their mental health experiences and seek support.

Turning the Tide: Cleaning up 70 years of historic coastal pollution at Lynemouth
BAM has successfully completed a transformative project to eliminate decades of landfill waste deposits along the Lynemouth coastline, in partnership with Northumberland County Council.
Much of the pollution, originating from Ellington and Lynemouth Colliery was tipped on the Lynemouth foreshore over the 20th century, artificially extending the coastline toward the sea. Coastal erosion had exposed this waste to the beach and marine environment. Posing a significant risk, particularly with two marine conservation zones close to this area of shoreline.
BAM has played a critical role in turning the tide, delivering:
👉 95,000 tonnes of colliery spoil excavated and processed.
👉 18,000 tonnes of rock, brick and stone re-engineered to restore the natural coastline
👉 1,000 tonnes of hazardous and non-hazardous material removed.
This area is now a cleaner, safer environment where both people and wildlife can thrive.
It’s projects like these that make possible a cleaner, greener tomorrow for all. 🌱
