Coastworker towed our CW-8 barge to Heysham to assist with linkspan repair works. The barge was floated into position under the linkspan on the rising tide, the barge then lifted the inner end of the linkspan off the bankseat & the linkspan was then moved down the quay while repairs were carried out. The procedure was carried out in reverse to get the linkspan back into position.

George Leslie, in partnership with Mott MacDonald, hailed the completion of all works at Kennacraig on behalf of Caledonian Maritime Assets Work began at Kennacraig's south berth in January 2024, followed by the north berth in August. The north berth is now open for ferry services. Delivery and installation of the mooring aid winch is expected later in Spring, and the system will be tested and commissioned upon the arrival of the MV Isle of Islay in Scotland. #CivilEngineering #Marine #Engineering https://lnkd.in/duEbXSbt
