The Interreg Aurora funded project Roots and Future project is organizing a kickoff webinar on Wednesday, 9 April: 3 PM to 4 PM (Finnish time) 2 PM to 3 PM (Swedish and Norwegian time). The project’s goal is to strengthen the knowledge, status and awareness of minority languages in the Northern Calotte region. These minority languages include Meänkieli and Finnish in Sweden, Kven language in Norway and Swedish in Finland. #InterregAurora #RootsandFuture

The Interreg Aurora funded small-scale project Innovation in Urban Planning was recently completed. Now you can read their final report. Go to results --> https://lnkd.in/deSpuznj The objective of the small-scale project Innovation in Urban Planning was to assess the current state of digital transformation in urban planning across municipalities and explore similarities and differences in their processes. This served as a basis for investigating the need and prerequisites for a pilot project testing new technical solutions in urban planning, particularly in resident-official dialogue. By examining the municipalities' processes and conducting trend analysis, alongside stakeholder views, we prepared for future implementation. Partners in the project were Municipality of Härnösand (Sweden), City of Nykarleby (Finland) and Åbo Akademi. #interregaurora #crossbordercooperation

Interreg Aurora attended the Interreg annual event, arranged by the European Commission. This year it took place in the twin city of Gorizia/Nova Gorica (Italy/Slovenia), the 2025 European Capital of Culture. We had the opportunity to share our approach to selecting and supporting our Operations of Strategic Importance (strategic projects, OSI), on stage together with the Interreg Italy-Slovenia Programme and the Interact Programme.
