Join us on World TB Day as we come together to raise awareness about the profound health, social and economic impacts of tuberculosis (TB), and to enhance efforts to eradicate this global epidemic. Apollo Tyres Foundation (ATF) stands firm in its commitment to uplift the trucking community by fostering a robust and supportive ecosystem. Each year, we host the impactful TB-Free campaign at 34 key transhipment locations across 21 states in India. This year marks the 9th edition of our campaign, dedicated to identifying and treating active TB cases. Since 2017, this initiative has been at the forefront of the fight against TB, aiming not only to raise awareness, but also to identify individuals at risk, facilitate testing, and ensure that confirmed cases receive essential nutrition support from ATF and medical advice and treatment through DOTS centres. To date, the program has reached over 1,796,759 beneficiaries and have conducted over 62,014 TB tests, diagnosing approximately 1,540 individuals with TB and linking 1,345 to vital DOTS treatment. #ApolloTyres #GoTheDistance #EndTB #WorldTBDay

World Water Day, held annually on March 22, highlights the urgent need for effective freshwater management. With over 40% of the global population living in transboundary river basins that supply nearly 60% of the world's freshwater, this day emphasises the importance of #sustainable stewardship for future generations. Despite the critical importance of water sustainability, there has been an evident lack of attention on how total water consumption and pollution are fundamentally linked to the consumption habits of communities and the intricate structure of the global economy that provides various goods and services. This lack of awareness means we often do not understand how product characteristics and supply chain processes affect the water consumption and pollution linked to the products we ultimately buy. Recognising these connections is essential for driving meaningful change. At Apollo Tyres, we are committed to conserving freshwater systems, recognising their vital importance for environmental sustainability. We implement innovative practices within our facilities, such as advanced vent steam recovery, optimised ETP RO permeate recovery, and efficient rainwater harvesting. Our use of Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) helps to reduce evaporation and increase the recovery of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and converting hot water curing to nitrogen (N2) curing. Beyond our plants, we engage with local communities to restore ponds, successfully revitalising 16 ponds across India and benefiting over 200,000 community members.
