On 23rd February, the Apollo Tyres Global Business Services (ATGBS) team participated in the New Delhi Marathon organized by Apollo Tyres Ltd, the 10th edition of the annual event. Apollo Tyres Global Business Services (ATGBS), a fully owned subsidiary of Apollo Tyres and delivering as their global capability centre, celebrated their second year of success and learnings through their annual event SPARKLE, 2025. Building bonds across teams, test of physical and mental fitness, getting trained on collaboration and strategy, and ways to harness the power of collective thinking was the focus of the event. The Day was reimagined with a thrilling full-day Team Building Activity sessions. The activities pushed boundaries, encouraged teamwork, and strengthened cross-functional collaboration in new and exciting ways. This was also the day when ATGBS proudly unveiled their new logo inaugurated by our Business Leader, Ms. Tanuja Birla, a proud and significant moment for all of us. We were delighted to receive inspiring messages from our Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Neeraj Kanwar, and Chief Digital Officer, Mr. Hizmy Hassen.   The evening took a creative turn with the Talent Show, where our team members showcased their incredible skills. It was a delightful blend of talent, celebration, and recognition that kept the energy high. The much-anticipated Rewards Night recognised and celebrated outstanding contributions of our star performers and high-achieving teams, making it an evening to remember. As the year 2024 comes to an end, a message from Tanuja Birla, Business Leader, Apollo Tyres Global Business Services. Dear GBS Colleagues, Another year has gone by. And it went by too quickly as there was not even a single dull moment for any of us. I am truly proud of our achievements and the new milestones covered. Year 2024 was full of excitement for me, and I am sure for each one of you. As an organization, we grew in scope and portfolio. We added large part of Europe as a geography to our P2P and O2C processes; we also grew in the non-raw material procurement scope by combining Europe and India services under one group. Master data management of employees for Europe was also included in our services. All these additions clearly show strengthened confidence of our stakeholders in us. On employee engagement side, we did pottery rangoli, celebrated a day thanking our housekeeping and security staff, participated in Marathons, adopted trees on the World Environment Day, did potluck with food coloured in the Indian tricolours. Last year was also special from our overall entity perspective. We changed our name from “Centre of Excellence” to “Global Business Services” making us more aligned to the nomenclature industry uses for a shared service of our nature. This also means that we are considered at par with the other global shared services. Year 2025 is extremely important for us as we are at the core of evolution of Apollo Tyres from SAP platform to S4HANA. All our processes use SAP as their backbone and our participation in driving this change would be mission critical. The entire organization is also looking at us to lead standardization and streamlining of travel expense management processes by successfully implementing the Concur tool. GBS is leading this implementation and it’s expected to go live in the first quarter of year 2025-26. We are part of the strategic plans being made at Apollo Tyres and thus at ATGBS (Apollo Tyres Global Business Services) prospects for growth personally and professionally are numerous. This would also mean an opportunity to put on our thinking hats and use automation to reduce effort and increase efficiency so that we can absorb more work, removing repetitive tasks, improving quality delivery, ensuring process adherence, and bringing up issues, concerns, and challenges, in a timely manner. Last but not the least, our endeavour this year would be to ensure that work life balance can be achieved for our colleagues and there is proper and equal work distribution amongst our people. This Diwali, Apollo Tyres Global Business Services celebrated with a creative and meaningful twist! Our GBS teams came together for a unique pottery decoration event, where each participant got to decorate traditional diyas, kulhads, pots and Laxmi-Ganesh idols. Working in teams, everyone poured their creativity into beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that showcased the festive spirit. The decorated pottery items were made available for purchase to our stakeholders and GBS employees, with proceeds dedicated to buying Diwali gifts for our hardworking housekeeping and security staff, adding a touch of goodwill to the festivities. The celebration continued with everyone embracing traditional attire, a delicious festive lunch and a Laxmi-Ganesh Puja that brought warmth, unity and a sense of togetherness to the occasion.
