🧠 Mechanical thrombectomy has transformed acute ischemic stroke intervention, but thromboembolic risk and delayed endothelial healing remain key concerns. While these procedures are highly effective in restoring perfusion, the introduction of neurovascular devices can trigger platelet adhesion, thrombus formation, and inflammatory responses. At Smart Reactors, we developed Camouflage™, a hemocompatible surface coating engineered to address these challenges. Camouflage™ offers: ◾ Enhanced thromboresistance through reduced platelet activation ◾ Improved endothelialization for long-term vessel integration ◾ Compatibility with a range of neurovascular devices, including stent retrievers and aspiration catheters By improving both the acute and chronic responses to device implantation, Camouflage™ supports safer, more effective neurovascular interventions. #Camouflage™ #SmartReactors #biomaterials #medicalInnovation

NHIA is excited to announce the winner of the 2025 Innovation Award: Rockfield Medical Devices for Mobility+™, the first elastomeric lightweight, mobile, silent enteral feeding system for patients aged 2 years and older, with gastrostomy or jejunostomy feeding tube. This enteral feeding system works mechanically without need for gravity or electricity, and is wearable, filling a gap between simple bolus/gravity systems and more complex pump systems. NHIA launched the award to recognize a game-changing product or service. A panel of NHIA expert member clinicians evaluated exhibitor products and services introduced within the last 2 years for their ability to improve quality and safety, boost efficiency, or reduce administrative burden for providers.
