Announcing Entalpic’s 8.5m€ seed round co-lead by Breega, Cathay Innovation and Felicis A few months ago, Mathieu Galtier (CEO), Victor Schmidt (CTO) and Alexandre Duval (CSO) launched Entalpic after several years building the technology within academia. To get to the next step of actual CO2 emission removal, we have launched a for-profit company intending to build an AI powerhouse for materials discovery. We are targeting industrial processes with large CO2 emissions and believe that we can contribute to the emergence of greener and cheaper alternatives. Electrocatalysis is our first focus. Our ambition is massive: generative AI will drive a new wave of discoveries in materials science and chemistry. But bringing the output of these combined technologies to market will be hard and we intend to be the best of both worlds. We are an “ML for science” company. We believe in the transformative power of technology and science, and our ambition is to make a positive difference in the climate crisis. Entalpic is continuing its lab tours 🔬 Understanding what's happening in experimental labs is essential to ensure that our simulation-based discoveries are grounded in reality and lead to actual discoveries. After our visits at Swiss Cat+, Commissariat a l'Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives, VSPARTICLE, and REALCAT Platform, we thank Merck Group and CentraleSupélec for opening their doors. These two peeks into high-throughput ALD and electrochemistry facilities were extremely rewarding—we gained invaluable insights and connections. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
