The release of Tree-Nation's 2024 annual report marks another year of significant progress in our mission to reforest the planet. In 2024, we planted over 5 million trees, bringing our total to 42.8 million trees since our inception. Our efforts spanned across 32 countries, helping to restore ecosystems, combat climate change, and support local communities. This milestone reflects the power of reforestation to drive environmental change and create sustainable futures. Yet the untold story of Maxime Renaudin and Pepijn Verpalen unfolded at an inspiring IESE #DoingGoodDoingWell event in Barcelona. Entirely genuine, as it was orchestrated by students focusing on sustainability. And for us, it felt only right to contribute by covering the travel and carbon footprint of all participants, resulting in the offsetting of 13 tonnes of emissions. 256 motivated attendees, over 20 Barcelona-based companies (ourselves included), and 8 dynamic breakout sessions. One of these panel discussions featured Maxime Renaudin, CEO and the driving force behind Tree-Nation's vision. Achieving zero emissions is a critical milestone, yet it’s not the whole answer. Beyond that, companies and individuals must actively offset their environmental impact. Within this test for us as people, there is more than 1 answer to climate change and we must work in a few directions simultaneously. Grateful to have been part of this, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to IESE Business School for bringing this event to life.

In our project in Mexico, tree care doesn’t stop after planting. Through a traditional community system called tequios, local members work with engineers and biologists to monitor and maintain the trees—checking for risks like grazing or water stress and performing tasks like pit cleaning and protective measures. It’s a collaborative effort that keeps native species like mesquite and huizache thriving. #Monitoring #Reforestation #LocalHeritage

Our project in Bore, Kenya has exciting news—construction of a new community nursery in Narok County is now complete. This is a big step forward: it means more local jobs, stronger technical capacity on the ground, and ultimately, more trees to support the restoration of Kenya’s forests. #ReforestationProject #Community

Our project in Argentina is showing just how visible the impact of restoration can be. This image tells a clear story: on one side, an overgrazed area with signs of erosion; on the other, the recovering Bosques de Agua Reserve, where native grasses and trees are returning. The difference is striking. That recovery isn’t just visual—it’s ecological. The restored area now provides habitat for pumas, condors, foxes, and countless other species. With strong community involvement, native forests are making a comeback in the Sierras Grandes of Córdoba. #Argentina #LandRestoration
