𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gxXkg-Ym ISPO 2025 highlights sustainability as one of the key drivers of innovation in the sports industry – including practical approaches like biodiversity engagement. As outlined in our Concept Release, we want to support brands in turning sustainability goals into tangible action and meaningful connections. At ISPO Munich 2024, we spoke with Dan Yates, who underlined how nature-based engagement can inspire real change within organizations and beyond. He shared why biodiversity offers unique potential for the sports sector: • Biodiversity makes sustainability tangible and place-based. • Outdoor action builds real connection and motivation. • Volunteer projects strengthen team spirit and values. • Nature engagement supports authentic brand purpose. At ISPO 2025, these topics will take center stage across multiple areas – especially in Hall A2 and the Upstream & Supply Arena, where sustainability solutions and material innovations are brought into focus. We look forward to continuing the conversation with you at ISPO 2025 in Munich from 30. November to 02. December. The intersection of sports and fashion has profoundly influenced consumer preferences over the past century. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dHgMs6jR This fusion reflects a growing interest in active lifestyles, prompting brands to balance style with functionality. Sports and outdoor brands have to find a balance between style and function. From a sustainability standpoint, there are multifunctional collections that shift activity to reduce overconsumption. "Clothing has to be versatile" says Miki West, founder, Studio K. This was also curated widely under the tag line, "From Gym to Fashion" by Fabletics as a formal example as they, too, have translated their products to a transitional outdoor apparel market that has helped lead to a global yoga clothing market and growth forecast of $21 billion between 2025 to 2029. Even while moving towards a fashion brand/book honor, we also need to be balanced with regard to authenticity as a brand. "It is important for a brand to stay true to what it is, otherwise it can easily lose credibility with its core audience" says Jeroen Meijer, senior marketing manager at Keen. There is also a market opportunity for legacy outdoor focused brands to grow the collaborative aspect of their sports-fashion market space to introduce their brands to new consumers. Much in the same way, as simple retailers evolve, specialty retailers are starting to adopt this cross-over with dedicated stores for outdoor apparel or new retail stores like yoga studios also focusing on collections too. This cross-over gives active-wear and performance brands, and retailers a further avenue to appeal to their consumers focus on aesthetic value and functionality, other than functionality to engage with their consumers or as a channel. ISPO Munich 2025 will delve deeper into these topics, providing a platform for industry professionals to navigate the challenges and opportunities at the nexus of sports and fashion. #ISPO #acceleratingsports #sportsbusiness #sportsfashion #sustainability Highsnobiety Fabletics Levis’Store KEEN Dolomite 1897 SATISFY Daniel Klarkowski Jeroen Meijer Enrico Pizzolato

Longevity in Business: Lessons for the Sports Industry ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dxxA3mS6 The sports industry, much like fashion, is grappling with a growing environmental impact. In 2023 alone, an astounding 150-200 billion items of clothing were produced, yet over 92 million tons of textile waste were generated. This unsustainable cycle underscores the need for change. The United Repair Centre (URC), led by Thami Schweichler, is pioneering this approach. When a product can be repaired instead of disposed of, the life of that product can be extended, and not only does that reduce waste, it helps build a more sustainable basis for customer loyalty engagement. Also, sustainability is more than just the materials or a process, it is also about the people that are involved in the lifecycle of that product. At ISPO, we’re dedicated to facilitating these conversations and solutions, with more insights and discussions set for ISPO Munich 2025. Together, we can work towards a more sustainable and responsible industry. Find more lessons on longevity as a business model and what the sports industry can learn now in our latest article on ISPO.com. #ISPO #acceleratingsports #sportsbusiness #sustainability #repairservices
