🪙 Local allies, global impact 🌍 this is what climate innovation needs We’re proud to share that Unbound Potential has secured an investment from Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) unlocking additional funding through the #KlimUp program, sponsored by the City of Zurich and managed by Bluelion accelerator. This investment is more than just financial support, it signals institutional recognition of the role our technology can play in meeting #netzero targets. ZKB’s decision to invest at this early stage was made possible by #KlimUp’s matching fund mechanism. This innovative program is a model for how #public-#private #collaboration can de-risk #breakthrough technologies and accelerate their path to market. To our current and future partners: this milestone reflects growing confidence in our vision, team, and technology. A sincere thank you to Miro Mayer, Michelle Tschumi and Nicola Leuenberger, FRM for making this happen. Bluelion community startup Unbound Potential secures KlimUp Matching Grant with ZKB Investment Switzerland is home to incredible climate-tech innovation, but early-stage financing remains a significant challenge, especially for hardware and deep-tech solutions. Our community member Unbound Potential, a company developing large-scale energy storage to accelerate renewables, has secured a CHF 250k investment from Zürcher Kantonalbank, unlocking an additional CHF 250k non-dilutive grant from the Stadt Zürich. This investment was made possible through the #KlimUp program, initiated by the City of Zurich and managed by Bluelion. Notably, ZKB would not typically lead an investment round at such an early stage — this was only possible due to KlimUp's matching fund mechanism. A big shoutout to our close and longstanding partner ZKB, for being a pioneer in the climate space and for stepping up to support high-potential climate-tech companies from the beginning. ZKB is committed to further investments in early-stage Climate Tech, providing more capital for Swiss deep-tech solutions that will support the transition to a sustainable economy. Shout out to everyone involved: David Taylor, Emilio Dal Re, Michelle Tschumi, Nicola Leuenberger, FRM. #ClimateTech #Startups #NetZero #PublicPrivatePartnerships #DeepTech #Earlystagefunding
