Ein besonderer Moment und weiterer Meilenstein für uns. 🗿Natürlich kein Erfolgsgarant, aber ein ordentlicher Push im Herzen! 🥰 Mit viel Freude widmen wir uns den anstehenden Aufgaben - und das mitten in Zürich, mit Blick auf die Limmat und nur wenige Gehminuten vom Hauptbahnhof entfernt. Dies darf gerne als Einladung zum Kaffee oder Freitagsbier interpretiert werden! ☕ Nach intensiven Monaten dürfen wir stolz sagen, dass wir die ersten Investoren für uns gewinnen konnten und auch bei Venture Kick eine Runde weiter sind. Nebst der Gründung konnten wir uns so das wertvolle Werkzeug leisten, ohne das eine Weiterentwicklung nicht möglich wäre (COMSOL, Inc.). Im gleichen Atemzug haben wir auch realisiert, wie unglaublich privilegiert wir an der ETH Zürich gewesen sind, solche Lizenzen frei verwenden und den Umgang mit Entwicklungstools lernen zu können. Induktives Laden von Elektrofahrzeugen ist längst mehr als nur eine spannende Idee. Die Frage nach dem “ob” verwandelt sich zunehmend in ein “wann” und wurde kürzlich sogar vom SRF aufgegriffen (Link unten). Besonders im Fokus stehen dabei Lösungen, die sowohl im Stillstand als auch im rollenden Strassenverkehr Energie übertragen können. Dabei spielen die präzise Positionierung und der Abstand zwischen den Komponenten eine entscheidende Rolle für die Qualität des Produkts. Genau in diesem Bereich sehen wir grosses Potenzial mit unserem Lösungsansatz. Although invisible, the atmosphere around us has an astonishing weight of 5 million gigatons. 🏋♀️ Just look up at the sky and try to imagine the amount of air - it seems infinite, right? Thanks to sophisticated measurement instruments, we can actually track the atmospheric CO2 concentration. It’s like looking into the air and counting the molecules. In just one year, that concentration rose from 422 ppm to 425 ppm. So now, out of every 1 million air molecules, there are 3 new CO2 molecules - even in the air in your living room. Globally, those 3 ppm translate to an addition of 15 gigatons of CO2 - that’s 15 billion tons. To put that into perspective, it’s about three times the weight of all the vehicles in the world. And this increase happened in just one year. Wow! According to the IEA, global CO2 emissions reached 37.4 gigatons in 2023. In other words, about 40% of these emissions remain in the atmosphere, not just disappearing into "thin air". We must be innovative and fast. But most importantly, we need to consume energy more efficiently. 🔋🪫 At Winduction, we’ve focused on ground-bound mobility by asking the question: “Does it really make sense to carry all the electricity in big batteries, or is there a smarter, more sustainable way to bring 100% green energy into vehicles - without compromise, range anxiety, or depleting resources?” Source: https://lnkd.in/ePAUVH-H https://www.co2.earth/

Did you know that 70% of electricity stems from non-renewable sources? In other words, if you charge your car at night, your car is probably not powered by renewables. At best, previously stored solar and wind energy is transferred from one battery to another. This approach is not scalable nor sustainable in terms of the required resources. Therefore, we propose a convenient, non-visible solution where vehicles profit from our so-called ‘same day delivery’ vision. Whether parked or moving, the EVs of tomorrow will be able to receive renewable energy without intermediate storage. The pictures depict Laurin pitching the idea for the first time in front of investors, thanks to the first InnoQube Switzerland startup program in Chur. Additionally, there are some photos of our first prototype consisting of a ground element and parts of the In-Wheel receiver.
