In partnership with the 🇨🇦 Canadian Embassy, SpinLab with Lukas Zechel and Kathrin Kronberger as project leads is supporting nine Canadian AI solution providers in the #AI #manufacturing sector as they begin their expansion into the German market. As part of the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program, the participating companies received structured guidance on key aspects of market entry: 🔵In group mentoring sessions, they explored the German AI in manufacturing landscape, business culture, legal and tax frameworks, financing opportunities, and settlement considerations. 🔵These sessions were complemented by individual #mentoring, where each company worked with a coach to address their specific challenges and goals. 🔵A central component of the program was the In-Market Visit, which offered direct exposure to potential clients, major German innovation hubs and stakeholders like: 📍Munich – UnternehmerTUM 📍Augsburg – Innovation Center 📍Tuebingen – KI-Allianz Baden-Württemberg 📍Heilbronn – IPAI 📍Esslingen – Festo 📍Hanover – 2 days at #HannoverMesse The program provided not only valuable insight into the structure and dynamics of the German market but also enabled the Canadian companies to establish first contacts with potential clients, collaboration partners, and key institutions, laying the foundation for long-term engagement in Germany. The newly released Sachsen #StartupMonitor offers, for the first time, a data-driven look at the startup landscape in📍#Saxony. Conducted by Startup-Verband, the report highlights the region’s potential and the challenges ahead. Key findings at a glance: ✅ 698 active startups in Saxony with strong hubs in #Leipzig and #Dresden ✅ 96% of founders value the the closeness to universities ✅ 44% have already secured #venturecapital – above the average of other major regions like NRW or Baden-Württemberg ✅ 76% rate the startup ecosystem positively – a higher score than the national average Saxony is moving in the right direction. Germany offers an attractive environment for #startups, with its strong industrial base, world-class research institutions, and a diverse network of SMEs. In Partnership with the 🇨🇦 Canadian Embassy, SpinLab, alongside the project leader Lukas Zechel and Kathrin Kronberger are supporting nine Canadian AI solution providers in the manufacturing sector from Canada as they take their first steps into the German market. A highlight of the program was our participation at HANNOVER MESSE where #Canada was this year’s official partner country. Alongside visits to booths such as Dell Technologies, Bosch Bosch Rexroth, Digital Hub Initiative, and KI.NRW , the teams took part in targeted B2B matchmaking sessions. 🤝 Hannover Messe was a great opportunity for cross-border collaboration.
