Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) member The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has announced a new digital collateral management platform, which will be showcased during a live industry demo “The Great Collateral Experiment” on Wednesday, April 23 at 8:00am EDT | 1:00pm BST | 8:00pm SGT. Since 2020, Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) has kept the industry up to date with Global Standards Mapping Initiative (GSMI), the most comprehensive effort to map and analyze the blockchain and digital assets ecosystem. GSMI is the think tank of GBBC, now starting its 6th yearly iteration (GSMI 6.0). In 2024, GSMI expanded its reach, releasing an updated interactive map of regulatory developments for blockchain and digital assets covering more than 230 jurisdictions, a technical standards repository with 67 global bodies, a list of more than 1,500 university courses, an interactive taxonomy of 391 terms and definitions, a landscape of 2,000+ stakeholders, and a country spotlight on India. Paris never lets us down! It has been another fantastic #ParisBlockchainWeek, and I loved spending time with so many members in different places all across this beautiful city. However, with the changing landscape of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, along with the media, hype, and noise that surround them, the key functions behind the technology are not always apparent.
