On Tuesday, April 1, Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) had the opportunity to host an invitation-only roundtable in New York City with Deputy Superintendents from New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS):     🔹Emily Connor, Deputy Superintendent, Digital Transformation   🔹Nick Krafft, Acting Executive Deputy Superintendent of Research & Innovation 🔹John Melican, Deputy Superintendent Limited Purpose and Virtual Currency Trusts      The evening provided an opportunity to discuss critical topics shaping the blockchain and digital assets landscape, including risk mitigation (AML, fraud prevention, privacy & security), the safe integration of AI and automation, and the real-world applications of blockchain across different sectors of economic activity. We also explored NYDFS’s forward-thinking approach to innovation within its own operations and the need for greater regulatory harmonization across states and globally as this space evolves.      A heartfelt thank you to Superintendent Adrienne A. Harris, John, Nick, Emily, and the NYDFS team for their leadership in the space. Last Friday, February 28, GBBC USA and The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School co-hosted an invitation-only roundtable for GBBC members and congressional staff. The discussion focused on the regulatory evolution needed to foster responsible progress in the tokenization of real-world assets. Participants explored key policy considerations, risk mitigants, and frameworks that can drive innovation while ensuring market integrity and compliance. A big thank you to Jim Kyung-Soo Liew, Ph.D. and Johns Hopkins Carey Business School for co-hosting, and to all who participated in a thoughtful and productive conversation.
