  • 2 MILLION (and counting)! That huge number is the amount of meals saved from being wasted by Circle K / Couche-Tard with Too Good To Go! We’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone with our longtime partner. What does it mean saving 2 million meals from going to waste? (It’s quite impressive): Avoiding 5.2 million kg of CO₂e emissions—that’s like 2,089 one-way flights from New York to Tokyo 🌍 1.62 billion litres of water use, or 648 Olympic-sized swimming pools not being unnecessarily used💧 Not misusing 5.6 million m² of land use—the size of 784 football (or soccer!) fields 🌾 A fantastic partnership that started in 2017 with 25 stores in Norway has grown into a powerful, purpose-driven collaboration across 7,646 locations in Canada, the U.S., Sweden, Denmark, and Poland, making a real impact on people and the planet. 🌱 As Ina Strand, Chief People Officer at Circle K, puts it: “Our partnership with Too Good To Go is about doing the right thing and creating value, combating global food waste, and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.” We’re proud to stand alongside Circle K, turning surplus food into a force for good, one Surprise Bag at a time. #FoodWaste #Sustainability #TechForGood

  • Earth Day is a great time to think about how we can make smarter choices for the environment - starting at home.  10% of European household food waste comes from misunderstandings about date labels (EC, 2018). A Best Before date simply shows when food and drinks are at their best, but it doesn't mean it's unsafe to eat after that. This is where the ‘Look-Smell-Taste’ label comes in. It encourages consumers to check unopened Best Before products prior to discarding them, helping avoid unnecessary CO2e emissions linked to food waste. We’re proud to partner with over 550 brands - including global leading consumer goods companies, Nestlé, Unilever, SPAR, Carrefour and Mondelez - to raise awareness of trusting our senses and making more planet-friendly choices. Together, we can build a future where food waste is minimised and resources are used more efficiently. 🌍 For more information about the impact of food waste on the Earth, please visit: .https://lnkd.in/dgFTZQsD.

So lagern Eier länger 📌 Im Kühlschrank aufbewahren – max. 🐣✨

  • This #WorldWaterDay, it’s time to uncover the hidden water footprints of food. 💧 Food waste is a pressing environmental and social challenge, and beyond CO2e, its impact on water resources cannot be ignored. Every step in food production—from growing to transport—uses valuable and scarce fresh water. When food is wasted, all that water is wasted too. Saving just one Surprise Bag (1 kg of good food) avoids the unnecessary use of 4,050 glasses of water!* As businesses, we have a unique opportunity to reduce food waste and, in doing so, avoid the waste of all the resources that went into producing it. 💚 By partnering with Too Good To Go, you can help minimise the unnecessary use of water tied to surplus food while contributing to the fight against food waste. Let’s make every meal—and every drop—count. Ready to create a positive ripple effect? Learn more and join Too Good To Go to take action, benefiting both your business and the planet. 🌎 *Saving 1 Surprise Bag avoids the unnecessary use of 810 litres of water, more information on tgtg.co/claims
