Read the CANSO CATS CONOPS for Future Skies: https://lnkd.in/eGa9bfBP "ACI World is focused on helping airports meet the growing demand for capacity, both on the ground and in the air. Improved global air navigation systems and fostering better global alignment on these systems are necessary for the industry to accommodate the growth of travel that is in store for us. CANSO's CATS CONOPS offers an innovative and comprehensive approach toward an enhanced global airspace navigation solution – a solution developed by experts from major global stakeholders." — Justin Erbacci, Director General, Airports Council International (ACI) World
✈️ It’s here!!! After two years of collaboration across more than 80 organisations, the CATS CONOPS for Future Skies has officially launched! 🌍 Developed by the CATS Global Council, this Concept of Operations lays out a strategic and operational pathway through to #2045. It serves as a global roadmap to help aviation move beyond today’s fragmented systems and towards a future of #seamless, #scalable, and #sustainable airspace integration. The focus is on meaningful transformation - integrating both traditional and emerging airspace users, leveraging #digitalisation and #automation, and advancing the global dialogue on the future of air traffic management. 🔗 Learn more and read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/eGa9bfBP 🛫 Why it matters: The aviation system is under pressure. Traffic is growing. New players such as electric air taxis (eVTOLs), drones, and high-altitude operations (HAO), including suborbital flights are entering the scene. Space operations are also becoming more frequent. Environmental expectations are rising. We can’t solve tomorrow’s challenges with yesterday’s tools. The CATS CONOPS lays out a practical, collaborative and future-ready framework to guide that shift - phase by phase: 1) Optimised digital operations 2) Advanced automation & real-time performance 3) A seamless, fully integrated sky As Simon Hocquard, Chair of the CATS Global Council, put it: “This isn’t about incremental change. It’s about rethinking how we manage airspace in the decades ahead — for everyone.” We’re grateful to all the contributors, from ANSPs, airports and airlines to startups and OEMs, who shaped this vision. The journey ahead is long. But this is a major step forward. 📩 Want to get involved? Read the document. Share your view. Let’s build the future of ATM together. #CATS #AirspaceIntegration #FutureSkies #AviationTransformation #CANSO #ATM #AAM #eVTOL #Drones #Sustainability #DigitalAviation #AirspaceWorld2025

👏 Well done! Rome Fiumicino Airport and Rome Ciampino Airport have been upgraded to Level 2 in ACI’s Accessibility Enhancement program as a result of their continuous work in providing quality, safe, and caring services to passengers with special needs. “As a vital infrastructure, the airport must be accessible to everyone. Ensuring full accessibility at Rome Fiumicino and Ciampino airports means meeting the needs of every passenger, including those with disabilities or reduced mobility. However, our commitment goes beyond operational aspects. With a forward-looking approach, we actively promote a culture of inclusion and respect for diversity through initiatives across the region. In this way, accessibility becomes not only an essential technical requirement but also an integral part of a broader vision that creates social value and fosters shared awareness.” — Marco Troncone, CEO, Aeroporti di Roma 🔗 Learn more about the ACI AEA program: https://bit.ly/3oUC2vs ACI EUROPE
