Building a healthier future: Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2 shortlisted for IPA’s Industry Choice Award. We're thrilled to announce that our work with Victorian Building Authority and Grampians Health on the Ballarat Base Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2 has been shortlisted for the prestigious Infrastructure Partnerships Australia's National Infrastructure Awards, in the Industry Choice category. John Holland successfully delivered the project with a strong focus on community impact and economic investment. 👥 Engaging locally: By injecting $45M into 180 local businesses, we’ve supported the Ballarat business community and local workforce. 🌱 Social responsibility: Over $888K was directed towards social benefit suppliers, paving the way for sustainable community growth. 🤝 Empowering change: We've contributed to the social enterprise certification of Raven Collective Services and funded a trainee for the local boutique gift company, who provide comprehensive support for victim survivors of domestic violence. The team also identified an opportunity to support Holly & Co, a fire services supply company to gain Supply Nation certification, to allow them to continue their regular donations to Berry Street in support of children in foster homes. We’re proud to leave an enduring legacy on the communities where we work, well beyond project handover. 🙌🏽 Construction has kicked off at the redeveloped Penrith Stadium! The John Holland team was really pleased to welcome the NSW Premier Chris Minns, NSW Deputy Premier @Prue Car, NSW Minister for Sport Steve Kamper and representatives from the NSW Government, Infrastructure NSW, Venues NSW, Penrith Panthers and Penrith City Council to see construction get underway. The state-of-the-art multipurpose venue will support the growth of league, union and football in Sydney's western suburbs, as well as hosting concerts and events. The stadium will also improve accessibility for visitors, and the design and increased food and beverage options and amenities mean fans will spend less time in queues and more time taking in the action! John Holland has decades of experience in delivering world-class sports and entertainment facilities, including Allianz Stadium in Sydney. The Penrith Stadium project is proudly funded by the NSW Government. Joe Kokai @Nathan Cleary #JohnHollandTransformingLives #ItsAJohnHollandJob

🏆 It's Awards season and this one feels a bit like the Oscars for us! 🏆 We're thrilled to announce we've taken out the Banksia Foundation's National Built Environment and Infrastructure Award for our Hobsons Bay Main Sewer Duplication Project. This project delivered a critical upgrade to Melbourne's ageing sewer network under the Yarra River and led the way in innovative sustainability construction methods - achieving an Australian industry first to be certified Carbon Neutral. Our project team worked closely with Melbourne Water to plan and deliver carbon neutrality as a key project outcome through a number of smart engineering solutions and considered site initiatives. The sustainability wins included: 👣 A 34% reduction in Scope one, two, and three carbon footprints from tender to as built 📈 The development of an innovative standardised data collection strategy – called The Project Pathway to Net Zero - for tracking and reporting energy, fuel, and materials ☀️ The installation of 250 solar panels, generating 95 kWh of energy and nearly 300 kWh of battery storage, that allowed the site to run with minimal generator use - this system is now being used on other Melbourne Water projects, replacing diesel generators The legacy we have left in the community includes: 🌳Working closely with Melbourne's Scienceworks Museum to create a moving exhibition of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in action - inspiring young minds to consider careers in construction. 🙌🏽 The project also exceeded all social procurement targets - doubling the spend on social enterprise and priority job seekers and also achieving gender parity within the project team - an achievement which led to the Social Traders' National Game Changer Award. Congrats to the John Holland team who worked around the clock (in a sewer) to ensure this project was a success! 📸Rebecca Smith and Keith Dimech with the National award at the Banksia Foundation's gala event. #ItsAJohnHollandJob #JohnHollandNetZero #JohnHollandTransformingLives

😮 Hey Pyrmont, look down! Our John Holland CPB Contractors Ghella Joint Venture | Sydney Metro West – Eastern Tunnelling Package team threw open the doors to the Pyrmont West excavation shaft recently, allowing local residents to see the progress we're making on the future Pyrmont Metro Station. 🚧 Visitors to the project site could look down and see our team was about 23 metres into the 33-metre-deep shaft and one third of the way through excavating a total of 312,000 tonnes of material to create the station cavern and crossover cavern. Local residents were impressed to learn that all material excavated will be reused on other Sydney projects including the M7-M12 Integration Project. 🚇 We're proud to be delivering part of Sydney Metro West, which will double rail capacity between Parramatta and the CBD and transform public transport for generations to come! #JohnHollandTransformingLives #ItsAJohnHollandJV

🚇 Our team leading the Rail Network Alliance for Metro Tunnel Project has celebrated a big milestone, with test trains now having travelled more than 100,000km inside the Metro Tunnel. At the same time, our Metro Trains Melbourne JV has taken over management of the Metro Tunnel Project’s three completed stations – Parkville, Anzac and Arden. Our Rail Network Alliance team continues with testing, which began in 2023, running trains between stations on the Sunbury, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines and through the tunnel to gather critical data. The team of experts continue to stress test the new technology to make sure all the equipment and systems are working as designed. This work brings us one step closer to the opening of Metro Tunnel! #JohnHollandRailAndTransport #JohnHollandTransformingLives

🌍🚆 Great public transport systems are the lifeblood of all world-class cities, and the Metro Tunnel Project will be a game-changer for getting around Melbourne. Since 2018 our team leading the Rail Network Alliance has been delivering works for Meto Tunnel Project – first the rail infrastructure works at the eastern and western portals including cut and cover tunnelling, decline structures, turnbacks and local reconfiguration and realignment of existing lines. Now the team is focused on delivering major rail, signalling, and system upgrades in the final stages one of Victoria's largest ever projects. 🚧🔧 We're designing, developing, installing, and commissioning high-capacity rail signalling, communications, and operational control systems. The Melbourne Metro Tunnel will create a new end-to-end rail line from Sunbury in the west to Cranbourne/Pakenham in the south-east, with high-capacity trains and five new underground stations! 🚉 From design and construction to transport operations, John Holland is delivering the complex rail and transport solutions today to transform our communities tomorrow! 🌆 #JohnHollandTransformingLives #JohnHollandRailAndTransport

👷🏽♀️We've moved in at Webster Street! 🚉 Site establishment for the Webster Street level crossing removal at Dandenong is taking shape this month - where our North Western Program Alliance will be building a new road under the rail line connecting Princes Highway-Lonsdale Street to Cheltenham and Hammond roads. The design will reroute traffic away from Dandenong’s CBD and keep heavy vehicles off Webster Street and remove more than 60 minutes of boom gate down time in peak morning traffic. Site sheds and crib rooms are being installed along with utilities and fencing, as the crew gets set for future piling works for the new underpass. We're so pleased we managed to get this 'Before' image from above 👇🏽 before we really get to work! We'll share the 'After' image once the underpass is completed in early 2026. #JohnHollandTransformingLives #NorthWesternProgramAlliance

⚽ Have you got your seat yet? We know there's 42,500 seats in Allianz Stadium because our Sydney Football Stadium project team installed them, but you need to know there won't be many left when the Matildas take on Korea Republic in their preview match of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup tonight. Award-winning First Nations artist Tony Albert's design that's brought to life across every seat and tells the story of Two Worlds Colliding is the idea of friendly competition, two different elements or people coming together. John Holland designed, constructed and delivered this landmark project on time, on budget and without community disruption despite losing 150 construction days to extensive rain and a further 30 days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We're now looking forward to getting started on redeveloping the Penrith Stadium in Sydney's west. Allianz gates open at 6pm tonight, head to https://brnw.ch/21wRMh8 to get your seat! #ItsAJohnHollandJob #JohnHollandTransformingLives
