FROM LOCAL TO LIVE: EXPORTING WORDPRESS FROM MAMPParsons
This 14-step tutorial explains how to export a WordPress site developed locally using MAMP and import it to a live server. The key steps are: (1) exporting the database as a .sql file from the local phpMyAdmin, (2) replacing local URLs with live URLs in the .sql file, and (3) importing the .sql file into the live site's database via phpMyAdmin. Backing up the live database is also recommended before importing to avoid overwriting existing data. Following these steps migrates the full local WordPress site, including posts, plugins and themes, to the live server.

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale computing easier for developers.
Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows you to obtain and configure capacity with minimal friction. It provides you with complete control of your computing resources and lets you run on Amazon’s proven computing environment. Amazon EC2 reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances to minutes, allowing you to quickly scale capacity, both up and down, as your computing requirements change. Amazon EC2 changes the economics of computing by allowing you to pay only for capacity that you actually use. Amazon EC2 provides developers the tools to build failure resilient applications and isolate themselves from common failure scenarios.
Django is a high-level Python web framework that enables rapid development of...ArijitDutta80
It follows the Model-View-Template (MVT) architectural pattern, providing built-in features for handling common web development tasks like URL routing, database management, authentication, and templating. Django promotes code reusability, scalability, and maintainability, making it popular among developers for building complex and feature-rich web applications efficiently.
Django follows the Model-View-Template (MVT) architectural pattern.
Model: Represents the data structure of the application. It defines the database schema and interacts with the database.
View: Handles the business logic of the application. It receives requests from the client, processes them, and returns responses.
Template: Defines the presentation layer of the application. It contains HTML files with embedded template tags and filters to render dynamic content.
Don't Repeat Yourself (DRY) Principle:
Django emphasizes the DRY principle, which promotes code reusability and reduces redundancy.
It encourages developers to write modular and reusable components, such as templates, views, and models, to avoid duplicating code.
Convention over Configuration:
Django follows the convention over configuration paradigm, providing sensible defaults and conventions to minimize the need for explicit configuration.
It reduces the amount of boilerplate code by making assumptions about the project structure and naming conventions.
Object-Relational Mapping (ORM):
Django's ORM abstracts the interaction with the database, allowing developers to work with database records using Python objects.
It simplifies database operations such as querying, inserting, updating, and deleting records by providing an object-oriented interface.
Admin Interface:
Django includes a built-in admin interface that allows developers to perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on database records without writing custom views.
It automatically generates an administrative interface based on the registered models, providing a convenient way to manage application data.
Middleware:
Middleware in Django is a framework of hooks into Django's request/response processing.
It allows developers to modify incoming requests or outgoing responses globally or selectively based on certain conditions.
Middleware is commonly used for authentication, session management, and request/response logging.

Factors to consider when choosing a hosting provider include features, backup solutions, security, email features, price, support, and scalability.
From Intermittent to Flow SMART Integrity Lessons and CommonsenseAjaz Hussain
Delivered at the 2025 Summit on Innovations in Controlled Release, Bioavailability Enhancement & Continuous Manufacturing.
We are navigating a world in which the very systems we’ve built—scientific, regulatory, organizational—are failing to inspire the trust they once commanded. These systems, like our supply chains and our quality assurance processes, are too often clogged with intermittency: stop-start efforts, siloed knowledge, and half-hearted feedback loops. In such a state, even well-intentioned compliance becomes performative rather than transformative.
We talk often of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA). But too many systems remain corrective without being truly preventive, and preventive without being truly reflective.
What’s missing? A mindset of flow—not just in materials or data, but in consciousness.
“SMART isn't just a tool. It’s a mindset for transforming how we know, how we lead, and how we flow.”
If you review talk, I invite you to share:
What resonated most with you?
What are you doing to shift from intermittent correction to preventive flow?
Where in your system—or your own practice—do you feel trust is fragile?
Let’s turn these reflections into momentum. Let’s restore the flow.
Lizzie Benton, Founder of Liberty Mind, shares strategies to transform workplace culture, boost
collaboration, and drive high performance through innovation and empowerment.
