Droughts have become prevalent in the North of #Belize, and consecutive dryness over the last decade has hit its #agriculture and particularly the #sugarcane sector hard. Under the ESA Global Development Assistance (GDA) programme, we have set up an interdisciplinary monitoring of deforestation, droughts, and crop type to feed into the Ministry of Agriculture's main Agricultural Information System #BAIMS.
