🌍 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲: 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿 🤝 At CLAAS 365FarmNet, we recently had the pleasure of welcoming Kai Hudalla, Open Source Evangelist at Bosch ETAS, as a guest speaker at our Bites & Insights session. Kai has been shaping the Internet of Things space for over 25 years, specializing in domains like smart homes, energy management, e-mobility, and automotive. As an active member of the #Eclipse community, he is now on a mission to establish the #OpenSource mindset in the automotive industry. 👉 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲—𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝘁. Glad to share that together with Eclipse Software Defined Vehicle we are now also open-sourcing this in the Eclipse SDV-LVL project https://lnkd.in/eCrd6CKT ! This way we are taking the next step to making this an industry standard! Special thanks to Ansgar Lindwedel (he/him), Tim Yerdon, Robert Leibinger, and Martin Schleicher the partners in crime to push this forward.
Today MarkLines Co., Ltd. has published a short report about Dr. Moritz Neukirchner's so-called “Moritz's SDV Levels”, a framework based on the SAE Autonomy Levels that outlines the stages of SDV evolution from Level 0 to Level 5. The SDV levels framework is designed to guide traditional OEMs through the evolution of Software-Defined Vehicles. The framework has been submitted as an open-source project under Eclipse SDV to continue iterating with the community. Further details on the project can be found at the following link: https://lnkd.in/eHjMq_NG I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Moritz Neukirchner, Technology Strategist for Software-Defined Vehicles at Elektrobit for his kind support and allowing us to share this information on our MarkLines Co., Ltd. online B2B Information Platform for the automotive industry. https://lnkd.in/eBFCyrz9
