In collaboration with our main partner, Hindsight Ventures, this program aims to support early-stage founders across 5 African countries with: Skills training, Mentorship, Networking opportunities, and so much more! Three months ago, we confirmed a transformative partnership with the UNDP West and Central Africa and Give1Project Digital Skills Campus to advance cybersecurity education for 25,000 youth in West and Central Africa. As part of the Concordia Africa Initiative, this project is focused on building digital resilience in the region, while fostering mutual learning and knowledge exchange. By equipping youth with the skills to address emerging digital threats, we are contributing to Africa’s technological growth and reinforcing Concordia’s commitment to global education and collaboration. https://lnkd.in/gRGt5t_9

On December 8, we proudly partnered with the AFRO GLOBAL CONNECT to host an impactful conference at Concordia University, exploring entrepreneurship opportunities between Canada and Africa. The event brought together over 150 participants, creating an inspiring platform for dialogue and collaboration. We were privileged to hear from exceptional panelists, Stephanie Mbida and Thione NIANG, both accomplished serial entrepreneurs, with the conversation well moderated by Annabelle Picker. 🎬 A special highlight was the premiere of Aysha, a powerful film directed by Thione Niang. The movie addressed the pressing challenges of ensuring equitable education and rights for girls, sparking important conversations around this critical issue. This event was yet another testament to Concordia University and its Africa Initiative’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships and creating opportunities to tackle shared challenges across borders. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this day truly unforgettable. Together, we are building a brighter future through collaboration and innovation.
