The John Molson School of Business is home to Concordia University's Faculty of Commerce and has more than 40,000 alumni world-wide. Founded in 2000, it is Canada’s largest English language business school and was named after Canadian business leader and entrepreneur John Molson. The business school has153 full-time and 189 part-time faculty members who are preparing 9,000 students to assume their roles in our global economy. The mission of Concordia University's John Molson School of Business is to provide an engaging learning and research environment that inspires us to go beyond the commonplace for the development of business and society. At Concordia University - John Molson School of Business, our vision is to be one of the most relevant, responsible, and respected business schools in the world. This semester, my students brought that vision to life through experiential learning projects focused on donation-based nonprofit organizations across Montreal—including The Salvation Army in Canada, Welcome Hall Mission, Goodwill Renaissance Québec, Moisson Montréal, and Héma-Québec. Through on-site visits, employee interviews, and independent research, they gained firsthand insight into the daily operations and pressing challenges these organizations face. As the cost of living continues to rise, the role of these nonprofits in supporting individuals and families has become more critical than ever. Many students shared how inspired they were by the people behind these organizations—describing them as kind, dedicated, and deeply committed to their communities. At the core of business education is humanity. By applying business analytics through a socially responsible lens, students not only strengthened their analytical capabilities but also deepened their understanding of how business can be a force for good. #JohnMolson #ExperientialLearning #BusinessAnalytics #SocialImpact #BusinessEducation #Montreal #Nonprofit
