Hello Calgary science and tech community! I’ve had the pleasure of working with hundreds of you over the years, but one thing that hasn’t been talked about enough in that time is the Calgary Youth Science Fair! Many of us have fond memories of participating in a school science fair, but the CYSF is the LARGEST SCIENCE FAIR IN CANADA with as many as 1000 students, 700 judges, and 100 volunteers each year! I’ve been a volunteer in various capacities for several years, and am reaching out to the community now to encourage you to participate as a judge for the 2025 CYSF event on April 11. As members of our rich STEM community, this is a fun and easy way to make a meaningful impact on the next generation of engineers, scientists, doctors, researchers, technologists, mathematicians, innovators, and disruptors. Trust me, a morning of speaking with these young students will leave you inspired!
