#Throwback to the Calgary Economic Development’s Report to the Community: Innovation at the Core of Calgary’s Economic Future. Yesterday, Calgary Economic Development unveiled Calgary’s Innovation Strategy—a bold plan to solidify our city as Canada’s Innovation Capital. In a time of global economic and geopolitical uncertainty, this strategy sets a clear path forward: ✅ 187,000 new jobs in the next decade ✅ $28B+ in economic activity by 2034 ✅ A city-wide network of innovation hubs to accelerate startup growth At the event, four local innovators—from energy, agriculture, aerospace, and AI—shared their vision for how Calgary can lead the way. Their common message? Calgary’s future depends on working together.
