All Covered." initiative, more than 15,000 Riddell Axiom helmets will be provided over the next four years to 277 teams. The technology features tech which can track helmet impacts and generate real-time reports for coaching staff on the sidelines. It's been a busy time, and an exciting one, for our client Athletes.org (AO), a fast-growing players association for college athletes. Last month, University of Notre Dame invited AO to campus, where AO’s leadership talked with current ND athletes across several sports over a two-day window. They discussed the implications of the House v. NCAA settlement proposal and other issues related to the historic labor movement in college sports.   Then AO was mentioned in the House settlement proposal itself. I watched a panel from SBJ on the topic Leveraging the Power of Sports to Educate and Register Voters. It deeply resonated with me that no one should underestimate their influence. This is especially true for platforms with significant impact—such as teams, athletes, and companies—that should reflect on how they can bring positive energy to the community and society, and how they can contribute to making the world a better place! What moved me the most was when Kevin Clayton mentioned, "Normalize civil engagement and add it to the culture." Society is constantly evolving, and new problems emerge every day. Engagement in social issues shouldn’t only happen during elections. I used to see professional sports teams only as entertainment, something optional. But now, I think “Teams are never just about sports; they are tools for shaping culture, organizing communities, and nurturing the younger generation.” While providing entertainment, they also help stabilize society and give people something to believe in. As a member of Gen Z stepping into the workforce, I’m not only continuing to clarify my civil responsibilities but reflecting on how we can educate the next generation and encourage Gen Alpha to engage in civil matters.
