🚀 Strengthening Italy-US Space Cooperation! 🇮🇹🇺🇸 The 3rd edition of Italy's National Space Day at the Embassy of Italy in the US in Washington, D.C., brought together industry leaders, institutions, and innovators to celebrate and advance the growing collaboration between Italy and the United States in the space sector. Key highlights include: ✅ ICE President Matteo Zoppas highlighting Italian aerospace export growth to €7.5B in 2023 and the potential for further expansion as the Space Economy is projected to hit $1.8 trillion by 2035. ✅ The announcement of Virgin Galactic’s feasibility study for suborbital operations at Grottaglie Spaceport, a significant step for Italy in the suborbital flight sector. 🔹 +20 leading Italian aerospace companies, alongside U.S. industry giants, came together to foster innovation and new partnerships. Space is an enabler for green economies, and Australian technology can have play a significant role in supporting climate change initiatives. The fifth edition of the Space Economy Leader’s Meeting (SELM), held in Brazil, was an important platform to highlight the Earth-based benefits space technology brings among the G20 community. For the Australian Space Agency, it was a forum to highlight our ongoing commitment to sustainability through our space capabilities and international partnerships. Australia joins a host of G20 countries that are strengthening their domestic policies to support the long-term viability of the space sector.
