Mentoring and Skill Development Programs: Establishing mentoring programs and skill development initiatives can provide women with guidance, support, and opportunities for career advancement. Offering training in areas like project management, technology, and policy can enhance their expertise and competitiveness. 7. Showcasing Role Models: Highlighting successful women who have made significant contributions to renewable energy can inspire and motivate younger generations to pursue careers in the field. Recognizing and celebrating their achievements can help shatter existing stereotypes and encourage more women to participate. In conclusion, by actively promoting and implementing these strategies, we can work towards a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant renewable energy sector. Encouraging women to build capacity and take up leadership roles will not only benefit them individually but will also contribute to the industry's innovation and overall growth. Thank you Rachel Wainer for leading such a valuable strengths coaching workshop. And thanks to Mak Nagle for his leadership in seeing it through on our side. The question we are asking ourselves is, "how do we successfully originate, develop, construct, and operate #utility scale #solar and #BESS projects?" It starts with a team of bright and creative people. Thanks to this session and the ongoing coaching it now also includes a framework for how to build and empower project teams based on the unique strengths of the individuals.   Cannot recommend this enough. I'm sure there is value for many different industries, but especially if your workflow involves cross-functional project teams, this is a powerful tool to succeed on your objectives.

David McRedmond, CEO of An Post recently sat down with Christina McCann from Green Fridays to talk about how An Post has achieved its impressive sustainability transformation. An Post is not only ranked third globally in its sector for sustainability, but also continues to lead the way nationally. An Post is ahead of the pack with their net zero carbon emissions by 2030 target and David McRedmond confirmed that they are on target to reach this goal. Key insights from the conversation include: 🚚Transition to Electric Vehicles: An Post has already made a significant shift by replacing much of its smaller diesel delivery vehicles with electric vehicles. 🌍 Decarbonizing the Fleet: The company is focused on decarbonizing its entire fleet, including its large delivery vehicles, with alternative fuels such as HVOs (hydrotreated vegetable oils) which yield a massive 91.8% reduction in carbon emissions vs diesel vehicles. 🔋 Clean Energy Sources: An Post already uses renewable energy providers for its energy sources and is looking to expand solar on its own buildings. 🌍 Collaborative Efforts: A partnership with Amazon as part of #TheClimatePledge highlights An Post’s strategy to enhance sustainability through collaboration, aiming to further reduce carbon footprints through shared practices and commitments. 🌳 Long-term Commitment: An Post has reaffirmed its dedication to 'acting for the common good now and for generations to come.'
