Rebar tying robots Is this Genius or just slow and impractical? I think it would be better to come up with a robot that takes care of concrete compaction? I'd be glad of what those in industry think?... #rebar #concrete #groundworks #reinforcement #reinforcedconcrete #waterproofing

'Forgiving' is the key word for E5 Internal Cure admixture. Even at 37 deg C, with extreme hot weather condition for such a large open slab without a single plastic shrinkage crack is the true testimony of its forgiving characteristics. The result will not be limited to a crack free beautiful surface, but also a durable, curl free, tough abrasion resistance floor without the requirement of evaporation retarder, wet curing/curing compound, floor hardener, and shrinkage reducing admixtures. Saving costs not only from these materials but also expensive labour to apply them. Not to mention about the ease of finish and ease of pumping accelerating the entire operation, again saving valuable manhour and project time. Contact me if you need to know more about it.
Working with engineers, project managers, and concreters to make concrete better by achieving positive cost savings, reduced project schedules, and making more durable concrete is my daily focus.
Concrete work in Australia isn’t easy, especially in harsh conditions like yesterday’s 37°C heat and strong winds. Holcim's operations manager expected to find cracks, but instead, he saw a flawless slab, no cracks in sight. We’re pleased to see E5 delivering solid results! Let's make challenging conditions easier to handle. Send in your structural drawings at reuben@mcclay.au and let me provide solutions to save time and money or Explore E5 at https://zurl.co/2oqC. #ConstructionIndustry #ConstructionProjects #Concrete #ConstructionTrends #ConstructionInnovation #E5Concrete #ConcreteSolutions #ConcreteCuring #ConcreteAustralia

Can this be applicable to other Structural elements?
Our first on site trial of the “Eco Trench-flow” concrete, all discharged and to level in under 3 minutes. Very impressive work from the team at Eco-Readymix

New partnership to trial potential eco-friendly concrete Decarbonising concrete using Graphene is at the centre of a new partnership between Galliford Try, Graphene@Manchester (part of The University of Manchester), Cemex and NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) Jon de Souza, Research and Innovation Lead for Galliford Try, said: “We look forward to working with the rest of the stakeholders to hopefully take a further step forward in the production of lower carbon concrete, that will make such a difference to the construction industry” To read more, follow the link to the Building Better Healthcare article #decarbonisation #construction #sustainabilityinconstruction #ukconstruction #concrete

This is yet another example of concrete, IF properly specified, can potentially eliminate immediate and future flooring and coating claims. There are three companies that make what I would consider "waterproof" concrete for the purposes of eliminating moisture-related floor and coating claims. Flooring manufacturers, if you don't ask for this, you will simply get the same concrete you have to hold your breath, hoping future problems will not manifest. This specific product I asked Josh Bong and Rory Bosma to test after 14 days in a project up in Oregon. Rory drove out, only to find the concrete slab had been rained on the previous night. Rory found two dry spots and used the Tramex Meters Concrete Meter to test the slab surface. To put this in perspective, I hypothesized that (under "normal" circumstances) the E5 would reduce the moisture content to approximately 4% after 14 days. When Rory tested the only two dry spots, both readings were at 4.7%. By all rights, without the E5 modification, the moisture readings should have been 6% or higher! So not only does the technology exist where moisture issues can be essentially eliminated, but the construction schedules can be sped up to where many types of flooring and coatings can be installed only 2 weeks after concrete placement! Imagine this technology for use on bridges, roadways, etc. The effects should be monitor-able using other currently available technology, taking the guesswork out of the usual several year wait to discover if the technology did what it was supposed to. We HAVE the tools, but legacy issues tend to stymie this type of progress in favor of "doing what we've always have done".

SCC stands out for its exceptional workability, as it requires no #mechanical vibration during placement, making it ideal for use in intricate and densely reinforced structures. It is increasingly popular in infrastructure, residential, and commercial construction due to its durability, labor cost savings, and improved aesthetic qualities. Recent market trends highlight innovations in sustainability, such as the use of eco-friendly #admixtures and recycled aggregates, which help minimize the environmental impact of SCC. ▪️The growing demand for self-compacting concrete (SCC) is driven by its numerous advantages and wide range of applications in the global construction industry. A key factor fueling this demand is SCC's remarkable workability and ease of use. With its ability to flow effortlessly under its own weight, SCC can fill formworks completely without requiring mechanical vibration. This not only reduces labor costs and construction time but also helps lower the risk of accidents on-site. ▪️The growing consumer preference for low-noise construction activities, coupled with the gradual recovery of the construction and housing sector in Europe, are key factors driving the expansion of the market in the region in recent years. ➡️𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞- 𝐃𝐌 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭/𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐥.
