🏗️ Îlot Saint-Germain is repurposing a historic site near the Eiffel Tower into a modern, accessible, and sustainable development. Located in one of Paris’s busiest districts, this transformation prioritizes walkability, efficient land use, and reduced environmental impact. It gives new life to an area once occupied by the Ministry of the Armed Forces. The project enhances connectivity, accessibility, and urban density, creating a localized lifestyle that brings people closer to where they live, work, and interact. We participate in projects that rehabilitate buildings and reshape urban areas. Our solutions support sustainable development in Paris, where urban transformation is essential. We supplied ready-mix concrete for the Îlot Saint-Germain project, including a mix developed by our R&D center specifically for this project. Today marks a new chapter at Cemex as Jaime Muguiro steps into the role of CEO, succeeding Fernando A. González following his retirement from the company. Jaime brings nearly three decades of experience within Cemex, having held leadership positions across strategic planning, operations, and heading our operations in several regions. Most recently, he served as President of Cemex USA, leading one of the company’s most dynamic markets. “Having achieved our deleveraging objectives and substantially consolidated our operations, we are now well-positioned to transition from financial stabilization to growth, looking primarily at opportunities in the United States, while enhancing shareholder returns and driving sustainable value creation for all stakeholders including our neighboring communities,” said Muguiro. We thank Fernando for his outstanding leadership and welcome Jaime as he leads Cemex into its next phase of sustainable growth. Read more: cmx.to/42oCkf4

💡 Light pollution has made the night sky almost invisible in many urban areas. But what if public spaces could softly glow, reconnecting us with the stars? Architect Carlos Barba envisioned this idea and, in collaboration with #Cemex, brought it to life with the LITHOLux benches in Place de la Concorde, Paris. They are a way to transform public spaces, enhance human connection, and rethink how light interacts with #architecture. Discover more about this project: cmx.to/422iiWB

🌍 Not all CO₂ emissions come from a company’s operations. Scope 2 emissions result from the energy a company buys but doesn’t generate itself. Through #FutureInAction, we’re working to lower these emissions. In Spain, a long-term clean electricity agreement has helped us surpass our estimated renewable energy consumption for cement operations. Learn more about our Future in Action program: cmx.to/3QzmCr2
