This sponsorship truly means the world to me. As a small business I have invested $80,000 of my own money into building Hacker in Heels into what it is today. I can't afford to give any more. To have a recognizable brand like Deepwatch acknowledge and financially back what I am doing to the tune of EVENT SPONSOR is a huge deal. It means that I personally don't have to cover the difference between what it costs to host a salon, and what ticket sales bring in. (Which is what I had to do for the Nashville Salon) It keeps the event accessible to those who want to attend with the sliding scale based on time-in-cyber. Without sponsors, Salons will not be able to continue. As beautiful and transformational as they are for the women who attend, I have to put my own (financial) oxygen mask on first. So if you've attended a Salon, are attending a Salon, or want to be attending a Salon, PLEASE express your gratitude to Deepwatch and Twingate, and encourage your company to consider sponsorship in 2025. #womenincybersecurity #cybersecurity #femalefounders
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! We are thrilled to announce Deepwatch as the Event Sponsor for the Hacker in Heels Salon in Las Vegas! 🎉 Deepwatch is the leading managed security platform for the cyber resilient enterprise. Their platform combines comprehensive threat management capabilities, Deepwatch security experts, and precise automated actions to enable cyber resiliency and reduce risk. But that's not all! We're even more excited to have Deepwatch as a sponsor because of their demonstrated commitment to women in technology and cybersecurity: ⭐ Clear and objective performance criteria ⭐ Equitable parental leave policies and support for working parents ⭐ Unconscious bias and ally training At Hacker in Heels, we take our position seriously in collaborating only with companies who have a track record of doing right by women. We're proud to have Deepwatch supporting our cause and we can't wait to see what amazing things we can accomplish together. If your company shares our values and wants to get their name out there alongside our strong brand and high-quality experiences, head to hackerinheels.com/salon to learn more and apply to be a sponsor.

@WiCyS plays a crucial role in empowering women in cybersecurity and helping them achieve their full potential. WiCyS provides a space for women to connect, network, and build relationships with other women in the industry. This can be a source of encouragement, mentorship, and shared experiences. WiCyS offers programs and resources specifically geared towards helping women in cybersecurity advance their careers. This can include things like scholarship opportunities, leadership training, and access to job boards. WiCyS conferences and events feature successful women in cybersecurity as keynote speakers and panelists. This allows women to see themselves represented in leadership positions and gain inspiration for their own careers. Combating Bias: The cybersecurity industry has a history of gender bias. WiCyS works to address this issue by advocating for diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This can help create a more level playing field for women in the field. I do believe that being part of a supportive community of women can help women in cybersecurity feel more confident in their abilities and their place in the industry. Lynn Dohm

Cyber threats and cybersecurity are constantly evolving. As cyber criminals become increasingly diverse, the leaders and innovators defending against them must follow suit. This is one of the many reasons why we need more women and minorities to enter the field. As it stands, women make up 25% of the cybersecurity industry, but we’re determined to see this number grow. Diversity in perspectives, leadership, and experience isn’t just crucial to keeping data and people safe, it’s also undoubtedly good for business. The Female Quotient and Deloitte are amplifying the voices of women who are at the forefront of cybersecurity. The women in this space are the best in their field, working at the highest levels to innovate, safeguard, and lead complex programs at some of the biggest companies in the world.
