1 month and already under the spell! 😊 Cyber security is a fascinating, even exciting field. I'm discovering professions and professionals committed to protecting us, as employees, as organisations and ultimately as citizens. But... yes, there is a but. Less than 20% of cyber expert positions are held by women, in some countries it's even less than 15%. Numerous initiatives led by companies in the sector such as @orangecyberdefense, institutions and non-profit organisations such as Women4Cyber, are driving forward the position of women in this sector, with effects on the younger generations. According to ISC2, in the under-30 age group, the proportion of women in #cyber jobs is over 25%. We need to push the issue even harder. The sector is currently short of 350,000 professionals in Europe. Let's make the most of this momentum. I am delighted that we are launching a public consultation with @make.org to strengthen the role of women in IT professions such as cybersecurity. The solutions are very close to who benefits from them.
