We were thrilled to showcase the new, patented AFC cutting unit at the SD Italy booth at the Drupa Tradeshow in Dusseldorf. Designed for precision, this unit is capable of cutting a variety of materials, including industrial packaging of high value products and point-of-sale signage. Additionally, we’re also highlighting our AFL unit, which excels in 90-degree saw cutting, particularly for the foam industry. Check out the video to see it in action!

Our team's recently been down in Orlando for one of the city's largest events, an international plastics trade show! 🌴 We had a challenge on our hands - 15 machines needed for a month-long setup and breakdown of the show. 🤨 This isn't just any event; it's massive. Companies from all corners of the globe are converging in Orlando, bringing in their cutting-edge plastic extruding machines. And they need muscle - lots of it. 💪 That's where we come in. With our Bare Rental services, we stepped up to the plate. When others struggled to meet the demand, we rose to the occasion. In fact, we've got the most lifts out of any company down there! 🏗 It's a moment of pride for us, flexing our muscles and showing what we're made of. But our role doesn't stop there. Once the expo wraps up, it's back to business. Our equipment will be there, ready to load everything back up and ship it off to its next destination, wherever that may be. Hosted by our Chinese counterpart CATIA in Shanghai ahead of the 2024 China Adhesive Tape Forum, these bi-annual meetings are pivotal for driving progress and setting standards. From reviewing past accomplishments to charting future objectives, the agenda was rich with initiatives aimed at advancing our industry on a global scale. Representatives from CATIA, Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC), JATMA, TAAT, and Afera, The European Adhesive Tape Association represented by our President Evert Smit came together, demonstrating the power of international collaboration. Key highlights included discussions on membership expansion, organizational structure, and budget allocation. We delved into market trends, regulatory landscapes, and harmonization efforts, emphasizing the importance of a unified approach. Of particular interest was the dialogue on harmonized test methods, spearheaded by esteemed colleagues. The proposed process for developing and promoting these methods showcased our commitment to excellence and consistency. One exciting prospect on the horizon is the potential launch of an International Adhesive Tape Day, amplifying awareness and appreciation for our industry worldwide. As we look beyond 2024, discussions on future venues and terms remind us of the enduring impact these gatherings have.
