Recommendation #5 Utilize programs that help you invest in solar, like they are ending tomorrow. Do not wait for programs to be close to their deadline or in jeopardy of disappearing, to try to access them. We've seen a lot of remorse from clients who missed out on funding for their project because they waited too long and those programs disappeared. Program frequently shut down because they run out of funding or an election has occurred and a new government has formed. The #1 most volatile part of renewables is politics, with some political parties being very pro-renewables and others trying to slow or stop their progress. Amongst all the drama in the House of Commons yesterday the Investment Tax Credit was further detailed in the Fall Economic Statement (https://lnkd.in/gZrj7dmR) but how long will this program be around for businesses that want to save 30% when investing in solar?

Politics and renewables are unfortunately intertwined despite the advantages solar brings to clients through economic and environmental savings. Lost in the drama of yesterdays Fall Economic Statement was further details around the Investment Tax Credit program which will save businesses 30% when investing in solar. If you are interested in solar for your business, start pursuing the project now because an election could be coming at anytime which jeopardizes the ITC program. #solar #alberta #ITC #politics #renewables #electricity #photovoltaics
