What to expect from the new aircraft Iberia is kitting the Airbus A321XLR out as a long-haul aircraft in a narrowbody airframe. While its standard A321s fit up to 232 passengers in a completely 3-3 layout, the XLR will have a 1-1 layout of 14 lie-flat seats in the front of the aircraft, followed by 168 economy seats in the traditional 3-3 layout behind the dividing bulkhead.

A321neo Takes Off: Airbus' Workhorse Remains the Airline Favourite! Airbus' A321neo continues to dominate the narrowbody jet market, outpacing its smaller sibling, the A320neo, for the fifth month in a row. This trend highlights the ongoing preference for the larger variant among airlines. Delivery Numbers Tell the Story Airbus themselves reported strong delivery figures for the A321neo. In May 2024, they delivered 22 A321neos compared to just 19 A320neos. This trend extends to the year so far, with a total of 113 A321neo deliveries versus 95 A320neos. This preference isn't new. The A321neo has been the more popular choice for several years, exceeding A320neo production in both 2022 and 2023. #Airport #Airline #A321neo #EASA #AviationIndustry #OEM #Airbus #AviationOasis https://lnkd.in/en6k3dJt

Iberia has received the world's first Airbus A321XLR aircraft and has finally put it into commercial service. After ensuring that the crews have received thorough training and that the aircraft is in good working order, it is expected to be gradually introduced on long-haul routes. Eventually, it will also be introduced on routes to the east coast of the United States. The A321XLR is not simply a replacement for existing Boeing 757s and 737-900s, but a new generation of aircraft that can provide passengers with a more comfortable narrow-body flight experience. Airlines that plan to introduce this aircraft in the future will be required to provide services that overturn the conventional wisdom that long-haul flights on narrow-body aircraft are painful. https://lnkd.in/g93wXJ7J
