Just thinking about Optimism and Generational, if we could help to make it a generational treat. So to be able to do it. Like with AI now may we be able to understand it to replicate it? thinking how much importance, between the many factors influencing on a person optimism level, be a person's own sensation of the own quality of life "lived curve", like if the quality of life goes getting better or worse or both, etc., for instance. (And, yes sensation, and if this sensation could be helped or kind of culturally forgeable?)

Last week in his conference speech, Sir Keir Starmer talked about early encounters with art and culture changing people forever. We know museums change children and young people's lives. As a result, we strongly support Art Fund's call for every schoolchild to experience a trip to a museum at least once per year. The best available data suggests about 40% of 5-15 year olds won’t visit a museum this year, either with school or their families. To ensure every schoolchild can enjoy a museum visit means creating opportunities for about 3 million more visits annually. School can be a wonderful place to spark an interest in and confidence to visit museums, galleries and heritage sites, as many of our Takeover Days demonstrate. Over 75% of schoolchildren participating in Takeover Day say they are more likely to visit again as a result. Alongside increasing provision for schools, museums need to develop their everyday offer for children, young people and families. Everything museums offer needs to be relevant and welcoming for them, not just special programmes and activities. Achieving this scale of change requires a significant injection of funding. However money alone is not enough. Museum need time and skilled staff, to shape programmes through consultation and dialogue and to change attitudes and perceptions around museums.

In 2022, Americans for the Arts created this top 10 list as to why it’s important to support the arts: -Arts unify communities. ... -Arts improve individual well-being. ... -Arts strengthen the economy. ... -Arts drive tourism and revenue to local businesses. ... -Arts improve academic performance. ... -Arts spark creativity and innovation. ... -Arts have social impact. ... -Arts improve healthcare. -Arts for the health and well-being of our military. -Arts strengthen mental health. Specifically to the tourism point, I'd also add that the arts can help preserve historic buildings, outdoor spaces, and neighborhoods.

It is now even more imperative that museums and cultural institutions understand their position in civic engagement and social impact. Celebrate #Juneteenth by reflecting and learning in what ways you can honor and celebrate African American resilience and achievement.

🎉 Next month marks the 70th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision, a pivotal moment in the fight for civil rights and equality in education. While this decision aimed to dismantle the "separate but equal" doctrine, its legacy is complex and far-reaching. I recently had the pleasure of teaching my students about this intricate legacy during our February Black History Month culture and diversity lessons. The immediate backlash following the decision led to the unjust removal of educators of color from the education industry for decades, perpetuating systemic racism and inequality. This is most evident in the persistent lack of diversity within the education sector. Before Brown v Board of Education, there were thousands of highly qualified Black and Brown teachers in segregated schools across the nation. However, following the decision, many of these schools were shut down, and there was a nationwide mass firing of Black and Brown educators. Despite their equal or even superior qualifications, they were often not hired in the newly integrated schools. Some districts even refused to integrate and instead closed all their schools for a few years. As with many aspects of society, representation matters. The absence of educators of color likely discouraged students of color from pursuing education degrees, further exacerbating the lack of diversity in the profession. This vicious cycle has been perpetuated for 70 years. As we celebrate progress, it's crucial to acknowledge and confront the ongoing echoes of this racist backlash that still reverberate today. Let's honor this anniversary by learning and sharing the accurate history, while also reaffirming our commitment to creating inclusive and equitable educational environments for all. #BrownvBoard #CivilRights #InclusiveEducation #EducationForAll 📚✊🏾

The magnificent thing is that the award even exist; yet, the award is more than worthy since Dr. Dre definitely made a musical impact on the nation, and we all know that whatever sells in America is normally benchmarked by most of the world. Definitely, not ALL, but surely MOST! Plus, we do need to become more fair about awards analysis, etc., but it appears via “trial and error” that we humans overall are not exceptional at being fair in much of anything. Thus, it is a good thing Jay Z made that comment; yet, all we can do is work to get closer to perfection. NOTE: History was a second ago!
