Did you know Belle’s stunning yellow gown from “Beauty and the Beast” (2017) was designed to “float” and “fly” on screen? Inspired by 18th-century France and the beloved animated film, this dress went through many iterations before designer Jacqueline Durran found the perfect look. She shared: "The most important thing was that the dress danced beautifully. We wanted it to feel like it could float, like it could fly.” Your chance is coming very soon to see this breathtaking design in person! “Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume” opens May 3rd. Our upcoming blockbuster exhibition, “Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume,” features over 70 costumes from live action Disney Films, including Time’s costume from 2016’s “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” worn by Sacha Baron Cohen. Costume designer and Disney Legend Collen Atwood described the details of the unique look, stating “The architecture in the shoulders is a little bit like a grandfather clock; it's kind of a wink to that, but it also had to be a costume that didn't weigh 300 pounds and that he could wear around” Get tickets now to see this amazing piece in person when this exhibition opens on May 3rd!
