Climate tech sales strategies need a shake-up—and we’re thrilled to see First Matter and the Goldilocks Startup featured in this critical conversation. Jamil Wyne’s latest article in Forbes explores why traditional approaches to commercialization don’t always work for climate tech, and why we can’t just rely on “the urgency surrounding global warming, an appeal to investors and buyers’ altruism or the threat of bad PR.” But in industries shaped by slow-moving, risk-averse sectors, and as consumer trends and market dynamics evolve, we need new approaches to climate tech commercialization. (Read the full article, which also includes insights from Ben Margolis, head of Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator, here: https://lnkd.in/gXau_XiE) A huge thank you to Jamil for spotlighting our movement, and to all the founders, investors, and changemakers driving this forward! What are the biggest challenges you’ve seen in scaling climate solutions? Do you resonate with any of the points highlighted? We’d love to hear from you.

The response that launched a thousand cities across the world -- a statement that started it all: "surely we can remove it." Let this serve as a friendly reminder that as we close out the year, there are millions of people all over the world working on the solution to climate change. Our work is far from over. Now is not the time to rest. Now is not the time to lose hope. Now is not the time to throw in the towel. Now is the time to double down and keep moving forward, to keep fighting for not only our collective futures, but also for our present. Now is the time to educate yourself on the ways that you can get involved and take action, to learn about what others are doing to provide solutions, and share that knowledge with everyone you know. There are countless providers out there tackling climate change at angles and degrees unimaginable. You wouldn't believe it! Tiles made from fungi; gas to power vehicles from seaweed (and plastics as well!); construction and architecture companies changing the foundation of how they source materials. The list is exhaustive. There is power in numbers. And with 8.5 billion people on the planet... Id say we're onto something 😉 Clip from my interview with Kumar Dattatreyan, ICF PCC, from Agile Meridian and the #DisruptorMethod, on how I started my company to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and cool down the planet.
