Summer internships are starting, meaning thousands of first-generation college students will enter a professional environment for the first time. This is such a golden opportunity that shouldn't go to waste. Unfortunately, that's the case for many interns and companies across the country. With just a little bit of time and intention, companies can create life-changing internship experiences for these soon-to-be First-Generation Professionals while getting a leg up on identifying high-potential talent to bring on full-time. Our team at Baem Leadership recently put together an article describing a few ways companies can improve their internship programs. You can read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/eZUTKkvJ #interns #firstgenerationprofessionals #firstgenerationcollegestudents

Summer Interns - Listen Up! Parents of College Students with Summer Internships - Listen Up! Erika Nardini is the ex-CEO of Barstool Sports. A $600+ million dollar company that changed the game regarding media. On top of her day-to-day roles and responsibilities, she ran a podcast where she explained the following: She believes that writing a handwritten note to every person you worked with at the end of your internship can help lead to a full-time role. You should include your intention to stay at the company to continue helping, a few specific things that you learned from the internship, and a thank you for their investment in you. Erika, I agree. But then again, what do I know? Erika is the CEO of a company worth over half a billion and employs over 600 men and women—she may know a thing or two. #handwrittencards #thankyou #interns #summerinternships #collegestudents #aosnacademy #mgmcoaching
