Happy Birthday Airbus Aircraft! It has been more than 50 years, since Air France operated the first Airbus ever in a commercial service. On 23th May of 1974, Airbus A300B2 conducted the first commercial flight from Paris Orly Airport to London Heathrow. The certification process of the first Airbus type (A300) is incredible from the current perspective. The first manufactured Airbus A300B1 made its maiden flight on 28th October 1972. The serial version made its first flight on 28th June 1973, just one year before its first commercial flight. Terms that manufacturers can‘t even dream of today. Back at the time, Airbus had only 6 orders for A300, all of them from Air France. The airline was under pressure from the government to order domestic aircraft, however, the chances of gaining ground against the well-established American manufacturers were very poor. European airlines were more interested in Concorde and A300 was not of their interest. Thus, even the biggest optimist would not believe that Airbus becomes the world's largest passenger aircraft manufacturer, which was achieved mainly due to highly successful A320 series. At the time of creation of the A320, Airbus expected a total demand of 800 jets. Currently Airbus registers over 18 000 orders, making the A320 series the best-selling airliner, even surpassing the successful B737. In total, Airbus has already delivered 15 400 aircraft and has firm orders for another 8 617. This year, Airbus plans to deliver 800 aircraft, the vast majority of which will be A320neo. Airbus has brought not only quantity, but also quality and innovation. Perhaps the most notable innovation was „fly by wire“ system. During the construction of A300, composite materials were used for the first time in a civil transport aircraft and the beginning of what we now call a "glass cockpit" appeared. Besides, the long-haul aircraft was piloted by a two-man crew, which is common now, but was not a standard at the time. The concept of a twin-engine wide-body aircraft was also innovative, and subsequently became a norm.

Azorra delivers first Embraer E190-E2 to Scoot The decision to go with the E190-E2 was interesting since this model was the most popular among the E1s, but the E195-E2 is by far the more popular model among the E2s. The E2 should combine well with Scoot's 787 fleet. Moreover, consider Scoot's ordering of the A321neo and A320neo but not the A220. This was a big win for Embraer. AirInsight.com

A321neo Takes Off: Airbus' Workhorse Remains the Airline Favourite! Airbus' A321neo continues to dominate the narrowbody jet market, outpacing its smaller sibling, the A320neo, for the fifth month in a row. This trend highlights the ongoing preference for the larger variant among airlines. Delivery Numbers Tell the Story Airbus themselves reported strong delivery figures for the A321neo. In May 2024, they delivered 22 A321neos compared to just 19 A320neos. This trend extends to the year so far, with a total of 113 A321neo deliveries versus 95 A320neos. This preference isn't new. The A321neo has been the more popular choice for several years, exceeding A320neo production in both 2022 and 2023. #Airport #Airline #A321neo #EASA #AviationIndustry #OEM #Airbus #AviationOasis https://lnkd.in/en6k3dJt

𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝟯𝟱𝟬-𝟵𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 (𝗔𝟲-𝗘𝗫𝗔), Emirates is one of the largest Airlines in the world, connecting the globe via Dubai. It was founded in 1985 with aircraft leased by Pakistan International Airlines. Emirates operates a fleet of wide-body aircraft, a mixture of Airbus A380 and Boeing 777, and it is the largest operator of both aircraft. But these aircraft are getting old now. The average age of the Emirates fleet is 10 years, which is getting old, and an old aircraft will increase operating costs and maintenance as well. On 25th November 2024, Emirates Took the delivery of their first A350-900 Aircraft (A6-EXA), But why does the A350 play an important role for Emirates Airlines? 1- Better Fuel Efficiency- Airbus A350 uses Rolls-Royce Trent XWB, one of the most efficient engines of wide-body aircraft. It uses 15 percent less fuel compared to same-size engines and is also compatible with Sustainable fuel. Airbus 350 also has better aerodynamics thanks to Winglets, which will help Airlines reduce drag and use carbon fiber frames which makes aircraft lighter. 2- Future Expansion- Airlines need new aircraft to make them future-ready as they need aircraft with better fuel-efficient aircraft with updated features to make them future-ready in terms of aircraft cabin passenger experience to make the journey more comfortable. It will also make the fleet future-ready. 3- Flexibility- Emirates airline uses only two types of aircraft as of now, which makes their operations less flexible as both of them are good options for ultra-long-haul flights, and Airbus A380 needs more passengers to achieve the breakeven point for the Airline due to high operating cost and seating capacity. But for a Medium haul flight, the Airbus A350 is a good option, and for the route not having high pax flow. #emirates #airbusa350

What to expect from the new aircraft Iberia is kitting the Airbus A321XLR out as a long-haul aircraft in a narrowbody airframe. While its standard A321s fit up to 232 passengers in a completely 3-3 layout, the XLR will have a 1-1 layout of 14 lie-flat seats in the front of the aircraft, followed by 168 economy seats in the traditional 3-3 layout behind the dividing bulkhead.

AIRBUS A320 SERIES Probably Airbus' biggest seller in Hamburg is the A320 series. Since 1988, 11,773 units of the various versions have been delivered to airlines up to and including November 2024. Most A320 jets are built in the factory halls in Finkenwerder, where four final assembly lines have now been set up, more than in any other Airbus plant. A global success - made in Hamburg. The latest star of the A320 series is the Airbus A321XLR, a further development of the version with an extended fuselage. The abbreviation XLR stands for "Extra Long Range", as this aircraft has a maximum range of 8,700 kilometers. By installing additional fuel tanks in the baggage compartments, the 13,000-liter rear center tank under the cabin floor, the narrow-body aircraft with only one central aisle has been transformed into a long-haul jet for intercontinental flights. "New chapter in air connections" "The A321XLR will enable numerous new non-stop routes and opens a new chapter in air connections," said Christian Scherer, CEO of Commercial Aircraft at Airbus, on the occasion of the handover of the first aircraft to customer Iberia. This aircraft type can now be used from smaller European airports to reach destinations in North America and Asia that were previously only served by huge airports with wide-body aircraft such as Jumbojet, Airbus A350 or Boeing 787.
