Today Italy celebrates National Space Day, an important occasion to commemorate the launch of Italy's first satellite, San Marco 1, on December 15, 1964. This milestone made Italy the third country in the world and the first in Europe to launch an entirely domestically-built artificial satellite into orbit. As emphasized by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Lorenzo Fontana, today the aerospace sector is a key driver of innovation, technological development, and economic growth for our country. It not only supports national security and industrial policies but also creates new opportunities for young people, especially in Stem fields. The aerospace industry has become one of the main engines of Italy’s development, positively influencing all other sectors. The future is increasingly tied to scientific and technological expertise, and it is on these young talents that Italy relies for growth and innovation. Follow us to keep exploring the world of Space Economy and the incredible opportunities it is creating for our future.

I am no authority in space industry or not even close enough to a blogger on it. But I can understand plain English, passion, innovation & aspiration more than myself 20 to 25 years ago. If I am right, I see a man passionate enough to launch Canada with its own hardware, technology and capability in space technology. NordSpace Rahul Goel you are an inspiration to all young startups & young entrepreneurs, an aspiration of many young engineers and engineering undergraduates. This is truly remarkable what you are doing and what I am following you do since last year or so. 🚀🛰️🛸🔭 Space is not called space because we got planets to explore, it is called space because their is so much to explore by the future space programs that will be launched from here and you are the beacon which is making it happen in front of us all. #space #canada #astronomy #nordspace #future #spacetech #spacetechnology
At SpaceBound by Space Canada | Espace Canada, NordSpace's CEO Rahul Goel took the stage to discuss how Canada's future would be shaped by emerging space technologies. His focus was on capturing the criticality of developing sovereign capabilities at NordSpace, from space launch and spaceports to advanced manufacturing and domestic supply chains. Canada is a nation with incredible potential on Earth and in space. NordSpace is determined to build key industrial capabilities, critical infrastructure, and sustainable business models to ensure Canada's prosperity at home and competitiveness globally. Thank you Scott Streiner, and Brian Gallant Drew Cameron for another wonderful edition of SpaceBound. We are grateful for the efforts Space Canada makes to support and advocate for Canada's future in space. To watch the full session, please visit this link https://lnkd.in/eRdj_Khg

During his participation at the Paris Air Forum, MaiaSpace CEO Yohann Leroy discussed the mini-launcher market alongside Jörn Spurmann, Chief Commercial Officer at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA, Raúl Verdú, Chief Business Development Officer at PLD Space and Toni Tolker-Nielsen, Director of Space Transportation at European Space Agency - ESA. This discussion allowed us to outline the competitive landscape of the mini-launcher market and to highlight the benefits reusability brings in the economics of a mini launcher developed with private money, namely competitive access to a wider market. This wider access leads to higher cadence, hence easier amortization of non-recurring costs, faster recurring costs reduction, more launch opportunities, and better resilience. To be successful, we need also to go fast, foster a more offensive risk culture, accepting failures as opportunities to learn, accelerate, and ultimately reduce costs. This is what MaiaSpace does, bringing together the best of both worlds: the expertise of the European space sector, and the agility, speed and risk-taking culture of a start-up. #ParisAirForum #MaiaSpace #Space #Innovation

Mr. Eric Hauck, head of the Catalan government delegation for Southeast Europe, based in Croatia, received the president of the Adriatic Aerospace Association, Mr. Slobodan Bosanac, for a visit on April 18 on the topic of cooperation in the field of space. The Government of Catalonia launched the New Space Strategy program with the aim of establishing Catalonia as a center for innovation and attracting talent in the space economy. One of the leading projects within the Catalan NewSpace strategy is the installation and operation of a small satellite constellation. To date, three satellites have already been launched, with plans for a constellation of more than eight units by 2026. Furthermore, Catalonia is home to Catalonia SpacePort, located at Lleida-Alguaire Airport, which serves as a key hub for NewSpace activities . Our knowledge and R&D ecosystem in the NewSpace domain revolves around institutions such as the NanoSat Lab at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), the Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya (IEEC), the i2Cat Foundation and the Center Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC ).In the conversation about cooperation, mutual interest in the development of joint projects was expressed, bearing in mind the transfer of technology and science in both directions. Possibilities of involving I and other representatives of the Southeast Europe region were also considered.
