𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐩   Last week, our members took part in The Space Tech Expo Europe, forging new #partnerships, sealing major deals, and sharing insights in thought-provoking discussions for the #EUSpace industry.   💫 Isar Aerospace secured a €15M contract with the European Space Agency - ESA. 💫 Exolaunch teamed up with Munich's HPS High Performance Space Structure Systems GmbH. 💫 Latitude and ATMOS Space Cargo signed a multi-year agreement. 💫 Exotrail's SpaceVan with be launched in Ariane 6. 💫 SATLANTIS partnered with Teledyne Space Imaging. 💫 U-Space Nanosatellites signed a deal with Neuraspace. 💫 constellr participated in the #CASSINI Matchmaking Competition. 💫 Pangea Aerospace took part in #CASSINI Matchmaking activities.   The Expo also hosted engaging discussions featuring industry leaders: Stella Guillen from Isar Aerospace, Jeanne Allarie and Dr. jur. Wrapping up an inspiring day at the #SpaceTechExpoEurope2024 with Claudia Kessler! 🚀✨ This year’s expo was bigger and more vibrant than ever, showcasing the incredible growth and energy of the European space industry. It was exciting to see so many New Space companies making significant strides, with several already in impressive growth phases. The atmosphere? Absolutely buzzing with positivity! 🌍💫 Key topics like space connectivity and access to space dominated the discussions—whether through launchers, space planes, or zero-g experiments. The focus on small satellites and their components stood out, with a special spotlight on COTS for Space as a game-changer in the industry. 🌌📡 A heartfelt thanks to the teams at Rohde & Schwarz, Isar Aerospace, The Exploration Company, POLARIS Spaceplanes, Beyond Gravity, TESAT, and so many others for the fascinating conversations and valuable insights. 🙌 I also was happy to meet Martin Hoppe – he introduced me to the new features of RePoSyD. An exciting design tool, and the discussion about it was truly fascinating! Additionally, I had an inspiring conversation with Emir Gadzo from Universität der Bundeswehr München, about the fascinating satellite project SeRANI. The project explores various technologies for data exchange and connectivity in both civilian and military applications. We ended this exciting day with a great beer at the Czech Space Alliance stand 🍻 and then bid farewell to Bremen. Next stop: Vienna for our 3DSE Management Consultants GmbH Expert Forum, where we’ll dive into Innovation as the key to ecological, digital, and human-centered transformation. During his participation at the Paris Air Forum, MaiaSpace CEO Yohann Leroy discussed the mini-launcher market alongside Jörn Spurmann, Chief Commercial Officer at Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA, Raúl Verdú, Chief Business Development Officer at PLD Space and Toni Tolker-Nielsen, Director of Space Transportation at European Space Agency - ESA. This discussion allowed us to outline the competitive landscape of the mini-launcher market and to highlight the benefits reusability brings in the economics of a mini launcher developed with private money, namely competitive access to a wider market. This wider access leads to higher cadence, hence easier amortization of non-recurring costs, faster recurring costs reduction, more launch opportunities, and better resilience. To be successful, we need also to go fast, foster a more offensive risk culture, accepting failures as opportunities to learn, accelerate, and ultimately reduce costs. The report, published in 2022, is the fruit of an unprecedented process coordinated by Professor Lucien Rapp of the Université de Toulouse Toulouse, to present a definition of NewSpace and a snapshot of current French NewSpace.
