ROLE SUMMARY:
This role will involve heavy collaboration with manufacturing, finance, innovation and supply chain teams to forecast, purchase and manage raw materials and packaging, analyze demand, manage MRP and oversee finished goods inventory. The ideal candidate has experience in supply chain planning within the supplement or food CPG industries, is detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Raw Material Management:
Forecast raw material needs for each brand based on production schedules, sales trends, new product launches and inventory levels.
Coordinate procurement of raw materials, ensuring timely delivery to meet production timelines.
Monitor and manage raw material inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Demand Forecasting and Planning:
Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to develop accurate demand forecasts.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align demand plans with business objectives.
Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reduce forecast variability.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Oversight:
Develop and monitor MRP schedules to ensure timely procurement of materials and components.
Work closely with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels while avoiding overstock or shortages.
Address and resolve discrepancies between planned and actual material requirements.
Vendor Negotiation and Management:
Work with the Supply Chain Manager to resolve supply chain issues, including delays, quality concerns, and shipment discrepancies.
Inventory Management:
Monitor finished goods inventory across multiple SVLP brands to ensure optimal stock levels.
Create and implement inventory control processes to minimize holding costs and avoid stockouts.
Collaborate with growth (Amazon & DTC), eCommerce and marketing teams to plan inventory needs for promotions, product launches, and seasonal sales.
Monitor and manage global inventories for raw materials and finished products.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Analyze supply chain data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of supply chain activities, including purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Titan manufacturing teams to ensure production schedules align with supply availability and revenue/orders.
Partner with the finance and accounting teams to manage budgets, track spending, and optimize working capital.
Support the development of demand forecasts with retail, growth (Amazon & DTC) and marketing teams to drive supply chain decisions.
Manage the creation, input, and maintenance of accurate master data records in the ERP system, including raw materials, packaging, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Work-in-Progress (WIP) and Finished Goods (FG)
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all suppliers comply with industry regulations, including cGMP and FDA guidelines for supplements.
Partner with quality assurance teams to address any supplier or product-related quality issues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in the supplement, food, or CPG industries.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the supplement or food industry (e.g., cGMP, FDA).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in demand forecasting and inventory management.
Proficiency in NetSuite & Excel.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
