As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the company's audits, global consolidation and group reporting, local tax and financial compliance, account reconciliation, interpretation and implementation of relevant accounting guidance, internal control environment, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
The Accounting team is tasked with preparing precise financial statements in line with IFRS and US GAAP, ensuring compliance both domestically and internationally, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage financial risks and support our financial objectives.
Lead the audit and reporting functions, ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Manage local tax and financial reporting in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan.
Participate in the monthly financial closing for all entities and provide timely and accurate financial information to management and the parent company.
Oversee accounting for expense recognition and capitalization, fixed assets, right-of-use assets, long-lived assets, accruals, and stock-based compensation.
Enhance efficiencies in transactional processing and month-end close through system and process improvements.
Develop and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
Conduct technical accounting research as needed, document, communicate, and implement recommendations and conclusions.
Provide accounting support and guidance to individual business units during the monthly close process.
Supervise the Senior Accountant, fostering their career development, learning, and professional growth.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
Minimum 5 years of experience with at least 3 years in a Big Four or national public accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS and understanding of financial statement preparation and management reporting.
Experience leading and managing a global team.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining a strong internal control environment.
Excellent communication skills and highly collaborative, able to interact professionally with people at all levels of the organization.
Self-starter who proactively takes ownership of issues and ensures timely resolution in a fast-paced environment.
Tech-savvy and experienced in fostering financial system enhancements, ideally with experience implementing financial systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NetSuite.
Knowledge of UK GAAP, German GAAP, and/or Japanese GAAP.
Fluency in German or Japanese.
Experience in a high-growth technology company.
