Today is my three-year anniversary at Zebra Partners! I always joke that PR was never really my thing in college despite my freshman year academic advisor convincing me I’d love it. Life truly has a funny way of pushing you into moments like this where you reflect on the cosmic happenings that took place to get you where you are, and it couldn’t be more true than with my journey in marketing. If not for Women in Games International (WIGI) sponsoring a fully funded trip to DICE 2022, I may never have met Zebra at the sole roundtable based around communications. Had I not been there, I wouldn't have caught Perrin Kaplan’s eye. I am forever thankful for the opportunity that led me here. Three years later, I've done more than I ever thought I could do by 25. I’ve launched multiple games and supported the launches of so many others. I’ve attended multiple conferences, awards, and other industry events where I’ve made countless friends and memories. I’ve, surprisingly, started to make a small name for myself (thank you to all my dev friends who say they think about ME, of all people, when they think about someone who can do marketing and social media for video games). This experience has been built out of the love and passion for what I do, the people I get to work with, and the people I get to represent. I try to never take it for granted, hence the sappy LinkedIn post today. Happy three years, and here’s to many, many more! ❤️
