Lean Lite, a key component of Visteon's Lean Academy program, brings students directly into our manufacturing environment to experience real-world lean concepts through hands-on exercises on our shop floors. Last week, we visited the campus of the Technical University of Sofia, and this week they gladly returned the favor. 👀 We were thrilled to welcome “home” 20 ambitious students in the electronics and automotive fields, along with their professors. First, we showed them our take on automotive innovation and Visteon's game-changing products. Then came the REALLY fun part - splitting into groups for the full Visteon experience! While some students explored our electromagnetic compatibility testing lab, others got hands-on with our coolest tech. Then we switched it up so everyone got the complete tour. We wrapped up with a no-holds-barred career chat—how to bring classroom theory to the workplace and earn your spot among Europe's engineering elite. As our Sofia tech center's strategic responsibilities grow, we're on a mission to empower local talent to own the entire journey of creating the advanced technology that people find in the vehicles on the road, not just today, but for years to come! Quality isn't just what we do - it's who we are! 💪 Our European Customer Quality team wrapped a productive workshop that's laying the groundwork for major improvements. They identified key opportunities for a more customer-centered E2E approach that will elevate our excellence standards. The team outlined strategies to break down silos between plant, supplier, and global teams— building collaboration that makes quality everyone's business. One of the biggest breakthroughs was enhancing our quality investigations to be both faster and more effective by empowering ownership across departments and strengthening connections to project teams. They also aligned quality scorecards so everyone speaks the same language. Simple changes that will deliver powerful results for our partners. The highlight was an amazing (but confidential, sorry!) production line tour that left us inspired and thankful to our incredible plant leadership in Palmela for this eye-opening experience! 🙌
