  • Coffee (or Cocktail) Connect is a no-frills way to meet other WLI members and advocates with a goal to build an extensive women’s network one connection at a time.   This month, ULI’s Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) is teaming up with Georgia CCIM to connect women and advocates in all sectors of the industry in a more meaningful and intentional way. Participants will be randomly placed in pairs with the mission to connect and “meet” on their own time. Participants should aim to meet in person in May or June.   Overall, the goal is to give participants the opportunity to get to know a little bit more about each other in a very informal and comfortable setting…thus leading to expanded networks, new connections, and endless possibilities! Registration will run from April 1st – May 5th.  The mission of the CCIM Georgia Chapter is to elevate our members in the commercial real estate industry by providing superior education, networking opportunities, and relevant technology.   Georgia CCIM’s 2025 Goals and Initiatives: Statewide Engagement, Expand Continuing Education, Develop the next generation of Commercial Real Estate Practitioners and Leaders, and Enhance Networking and Deal-making opportunities. • 🚀 Exciting TAP Collaboration with the City of Tucker!   Over the past two days, we worked with the City of Tucker to assess housing needs, engage with local stakeholders, and develop strategic recommendations—all while convening around key scope questions to guide our discussions.   🔹 Day 1: We kicked off by reviewing briefing materials, taking a study area tour, and conducting interviews with community leaders, business/property owners, and residents to gain diverse perspectives. These conversations provided valuable insights into the city’s current housing landscape and regulatory environment.   🔹 Day 2: ULI’s panel members deliberated around Tucker’s key scope questions, including: 🏡 What housing types are needed to meet demand? 📈 What density is required—and where—to maximize impact while preserving affordability? 🚧 What barriers hinder housing development, and how can we accelerate projects identified in the Comprehensive Plan? 🔍 What innovative zoning and code policies can be expanded or adapted from other cities to best serve Tucker’s needs?   The panel formed a set of actionable recommendations to support Tucker’s continued growth and success.   A huge thank you to the City of Tucker staff and public officials for their engagement and our ULI panel including Jay Silverman, Arman L. Tolentino, AIA, Jay Perlmutter, Maureen Freehill, Stan Sugarman, Samantha C., Andrea Worthy, Deborah Myerson, AICP, and Glenda K. for their valuable insights! Another shoutout to Sara Patenaude, PhD and Cayla Puckett for their support of this project. We’re excited to see how these efforts shape Tucker’s future. 🌟
