Last week, ULI Nashville had the great opportunity to do an UrbanPlan workshop with students from Tennessee State University! The students learned about the land use development process and the role each of us plays in creating better communities. While the mock city council decided on the winning team, the students got to hear from UrbanPlan sponsors, Tennessee Titans ONE Community Foundation and EOA Architects, about the development of the new Titans stadium. It's enlightening to see the students work through challenging financial, social, political, and design issues while building a site plan model that brings their redevelopment vision to life - all while being guided by ULI members and industry professionals serving as volunteers.
