We were proud to welcome the 2024–2026 Next Generation Leadership Network to ICSC headquarters in New York City last week! This inspiring group of future industry leaders kicked off their journey with insights from ICSC President & CEO Tom McGee and ICSC Chairman and Starbucks Senior Vice President, Store Development Americas, Angele Robinson-Gaylord, followed by meaningful networking and conversations around the key topics shaping our industry. Over the next 18 months, this cohort will come together for three more sessions—continuing to collaborate, grow, and lead the way forward. #ICSC

I’m energized to be part of the 2025–2027 NGLN Cohort! We kicked off our first summit last week in NYC, and I left feeling inspired by the incredible group of leaders who are not only driving innovation but also deeply committed to collaboration and impact. It was also a joy to reconnect with Elizabeth Westgate, Morgan Hill Konstantinidis, Jessa Stevens, Josh Hopkins, Jack Steger —this community continues to be a source of knowledge, perspective, and encouragement. Some standout moments included the fireside chat with Tom McGee and Angele Robinson-Gaylord. Jonathan Schwartz and Evie Gross’s thought-provoking State of the Industry discussion, and our collective exploration of today’s real challenges—from tariffs to the potential limitation on the federal deductibility of state and local taxes (including property taxes). We also heard from past cohort members Whitney Livingston, Sayo Kamara,Kelly O'Brien, Kevin Perry about how this network has shaped their work and thinking. These conversations are a reminder that when we make space to share, listen, and learn from one another, we not only grow individually—we elevate our entire industry.
