How does an #actuary actually actualize #pricetransparency data? Well, we asked Turquoise Actuary and Solutions Engineer, Allen Chen, how he actually does anything. And folks, he delivered. Here's the TL; DR: Layers of data create the best utility. The best way to begin is to ask simple, straightforward questions and see what the data tells you. Data, actually: https://lnkd.in/dfFS2J8b #employer

It’s increasingly clear that price transparency is in the best interest of patients and the broader healthcare ecosystem. Without transparent pricing, it's nearly impossible to measure—or address—the underlying drivers of increasing healthcare costs in the U.S. Pre-price transparency, it was nearly impossible to follow the drug value chain. With price transparency, we can definitively put numbers* to half of the drug value chain. In two weeks, we're taking our drug rates and we're going to #asembia25 to preach this to the masses. We hope to see you there! #pricetransparency #pharma #healthcare *Illustrative example of costs, not real numbers

Turquoise Health reposted this
🗣️ What does the future of Benefits look like? That’s the question we posed at our first Future of Benefits Roundtable - hosted by Turquoise Health in Dallas yesterday. The discussion with healthcare leaders in the DFW area was insightful and brought multiple perspectives on what challenges and opportunities employers face as they navigate their benefits as fiduciaries. Some takeaways: ✍️ One-size does not fit all: Unique populations require intentional and unique strategies. 🏃🏻: We need innovative solutions and approaches to DPC, point solutions and others to reduce cost trend. 💳: Consumerism isn’t always straightforward: The best way to drive strong healthcare financial decisions of your population is via plan design and the benefits we set up. 🔎: Transparency is key: Transparency applies to cost, contracts, rebates, and more. Who owns the employer claims data is critical for employers to understand healthcare costs. In my experience, true solutions to healthcare challenges come from open dialogue, collaboration, trust, and transparency. We don't often stare deep into our looking glass, but when we do, it's always over #drugs. Drugs *data*, obviously. Join two of our biggest brains on drugs, Chris O'Dell and Wayne Luan, as they read the tea leaves of the past, dissect the present, and pontificate on the future of drug rates on our next webinar. We'll cover a wide variety of things as it relates to drugs data so if you're a #provider new to drug rates utility or a #drugmanufacturer interested in leveraging the data, this will be a great first-primer on all things drug #pricetransparency Register, here: https://lnkd.in/gN5rVyVK

Just a year ago, and yet, they grow up so fast 🥲 We had so much fun playing Guess-The-Casino-By-The-Carpet-Design last year, that we're doing it again! Except this time, we're bringing more friends. Make sure to say "HI!" to Chris O'Dell, Wayne Luan, David Brown, Mischka Moechtar, Mark Slifer, and Joe Wisniewski at Booth 1704. Who knows, maybe you'll make it into the group photo. #AXS25 Asembia's AXS25 Summit

Who needs The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy when you have The Drug Manufacturer's Guide to #transparencyincoverage Prescription Drug File? Not the same? Not even a little? We humbly disagree. Free data. Like *free* free. Seriously. #pricetransparency
Big, fun news: In April, we’re releasing a Community Tier of Turquoise Rates and Contracts available at no cost. Tell your friends! (Especially if your friends are local providers, employers and startups). Over the past 4 years in the transparency business, we’ve seen a need to make price transparency data more accessible to local organizations. Like the government behind the price transparency regs, we believe that healthy competition starts at the local level. Over the coming weeks, we’re releasing the Community Tier to non-hospital community health providers, employers, local non-profits and researchers, and a select cohort of startups. This tier is designed for local orgs: it’s self-service, has limited seats, and is intended for internal use (aside from the innovator cohort, details below). It will include platform-based access to price transparency disclosure data, including payer negotiated rates, list prices, and cash prices within a region. It will have fewer features compared to our paid offerings, but it will pack a punch. For community health providers and employers, we’ll also offer limited self-service access to Clear Contracts, our AI-powered platform for contract management and negotiation. The employer offering is intended for health plan administrators. For a cohort of small (growing) startups and research organizations innovating in patient access and transparency, we’ll offer an engineer-friendly, self-service cut of transparency data intended to help you find product market fit and prove that we can collectively create savvy consumers of healthcare in the United States. Visit the link below to sign up for the waitlist and learn more about the Community Tier ahead of our April release. https://lnkd.in/gfYN7sND
